Well, I couldn't contribute much to thread due to inexperence. Altho these were supposedly a genetic mix up I still have 5 seeds from the pack I'll grow again. I am thrilled to death with it. Also have replacement packs of Romulan Bx1 they said should be what it should be like. I will be growing Romscotti and Romulan Holyfield in 9-10 weeks...... I'll keep updates is anyone wants.

You should start a diary for it, people love having references

Yes please make a grow journal with your next grow, I don't know a lot about this specific genetic so it's always nice to have a reference, knowing what they can look like, how long they flower, how much they produce, any info about any strains is welcome.
The piece of Hasch you've shown is beautiful, I'd like to smoke a piece of that for sure. It looks like a nice chunk of 10/20g, did you do that with your trim or your buds?

Nice! I just moved three BX1 cuts from the nicest females into my living soil bed and my other bx1 ladies are bursting with seeds from the bx1 stud. I think the recessive generation here is gonna be interesting

Hey mate, there’s a lot of different offerings named Romulan, and the one both of us are referencing has no history of Korean genes in it.
From the breeder, who supposedly has a familial link to the original strain-creator, as well as being the current holder of one of the original clones has stated plainly: Thai x Colombian x Mexican x Afghani. So perhaps your referring someone else’s Romulan. Jake is more expansive on the topic on another forum, easy to find, and you could read all about it.

ROMULAN (S1)

FEMINIZED PHOTOPERIOD
63-70 Days
Polyhybrid
(Korean Thai x Mexican x Colombian x Afghani) x Colombian
2x Stretch
during flowering
Above Average Yield

These are phenomenal plants, strong in vigor and built like tanks. They can take just about anything you throw at them. Smell and taste are made up of Pine, Skunk, Dank funkiness, and some other very complex secondary notes. Most get a strong pine, but those with expert palettes will love the complexity and deep terpene profile that Romulan has. She hits hard, but is welcoming and offers a clear headed effect even when fully immersed. Excellent medicinal qualities, and especially helpful for pain and PTSD issues.

I’m sorry mate but please take this somewhere else, I don’t want this thread being derailed. Please take your musing about other subjects and make your own thread with it, you are already misleading with your comment about Korean genetics which isn’t true.

People this thread is for Romulan Genetics, Romulan BX1 growing, and smoke reviews, nothing else!
You are wrong. There is Korean Thai in Romulan. Plus you don't like Romulan Genetics and just took a refund instead of getting more seeds.
I do remember in all my readings from Over Grow, Planet Gaia, Reeferman forum, Image any many others, I don't know which one exactly, that some of the long flowering strains like Thai can auto if you try flowering them 12/12 from seed or before alternating leaves occur. That kind goes along with what puff posted.
Thai x columbian x mexican x afghani îs basically Skunk #1. So once again Skunk #1 rears its' head. Skunk #1 might be the most crossed, influential strain ever.

I grew the romulan regs when they first hit the market- was really good pot, still one of my wives favs. So I recently broke down and purchased a pack of Rom bx1, which I only germed one seed to see what comes up. The plant has these huge fan leafs that look like a pure indica-I am a bit put off, because these were supposed to be crossed back to a Colombian.

Romulan Bx1 (IX) is the Roumulan clone crossed to a male Romulan F4

ROMULAN "BX1" (IX1)

REGULAR PHOTOPERIOD
Indoor these new breeders are pollen checkers crossing elite clones with other elite clones. r 70 Days
Outdoor Late October
Polyhybrid
Romulan F1 x Romulan F4
1.5-2x Stretch during flowering
Average Yield

Using our clone cut F1 Romulan female, crossing it to our male Romulan F4 that we use for breeding here we made our newest version of Romulan with the “BX1”. The result is beyond our expectations. If you haven't grown them yet, we recommend giving them a try.

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. Seems like a lot of Romulan Genetics hate. Who cares if he inherited the clone. He has skill because he kept the clone alive. Nobody else kept an original Romulan clone. This guy Jake did.
Some of these new breeders are pollen checkers crossing elite clones to elite clones. They put out some great stuff. Jake is making his way with using the Romulan clone. Let the man work.

I bought a pack of Romulan Bx1 (IX) last year. I planted 12 seeds in solo cups on April 1st. 12 came up. 2 suffered helmet deaths. I was doing a seed run. So on May 15th they went into a raised bed over loosened soil. It was 4x4. I put all 10 plants in. When pre sex was done I had 8 males and 2 females. I kept the 2 nicest males. The males grew taller but all were vigorous. The males started flowering way before the females and I got worried they would open too soon. The male flowers remained closed until the females started flowering some. Finally there were enough pistils and pollen that I knew I would get some seeds.
It took longer to see pistils than I expected.
I think I am at 4 weeks flowering which would put me at 70 days end of October just like the breeder description says.
I will take some pics tomorrow.
It was a bad luck male female ratio but I am happy with the plants so far. I am also happy to potentially have a bunch of F2 seeds.
