rkrone, Not sure what you mean, as far as stemless, but it is very clean work, that a buddy made a couple years ago, but I havent talked to that cat in a long time and really need to,lol, I would like a new piece.. I would like a chubbler, or a bub..
Does anyone have some recommendations for purchasing some nice glass online direct from the blowers? I would like to directly support someone without dealing with the retail markup and get some nice work. (I also haven't been able to find any local shops with anything as nice as what I want)
I am looking for something similar to stoner4life's dichro sidecar bubbler a couple posts back. Awesome piece btw!!!
Panopticist, that piece is ****ing awesome!!! I never seen a square pipe like that. My boy has a square bubbler though, wonder if they were made by the same person? How big is it though, can you put a lighter or a pack of cigs next to it for perspective?
It measures 3" long by 1.25" tall and wide, so it's stumpy and heavy since it's double thick. I found it at a local shop a few years back and they only had five, so I bought one, as did my girlfriend. I dig the little DNA-looking helixes in the glass, plus I love science fiction movies, so my work was easy...
Thats tight panopticist, I like them both, I may have to ask to get some glass blown while I am at the beach and get something like that. I want one with a sativa leaf on top though. Diggin the square pieces.
The smaller red one was given to me for free. The owner of the headshop kept throwing the piece on the ground, to show that it won't break. But he later admitted he was doing it just to watch me bend over. I asked, "If I keep bending over do I get a free pipe?" and he said, "You will get some kind of pipe!" Haha, but yeah he gave it to me for free. I bought the other one at a different store today.
I used to remember all the artist that blew these but over the years I have forgotten
More close ups
And more
This was one of the first "nice" pieces I ever got. It was blown by Steve Gelb and I got it from him personally many many years ago at the Vermont Reggae fest. He was just walking around trying to sell glass and his was the only one I could afford. All the others he had at the time he wanted over a grand for. I wish I had more detailed shots the thing was pretty sweet
