At least he's willing to buy you another one, really all you can ask for.
Going to host a funeral? I might for a 7 year old bong.. Lol. Pay it it's last respects.
Hope you'll find love again one day.
So only dead pieces. Here is Alice she lived for about 8 years in a tile floor environment and died in the sink!
I've had a few amazing bubblers but Salamander Sid was the best and I don't even have a photo of him. It just goes to show, get the camera out and catch them while they are young and around. That goes for pets, pipes, and pikes
Heres my latest piece. Its a 21 inch single perk with a ash catch/perk into a carbon filter piece (the big round piece). This carbon piece rocks with all this action the smoke comes through sooo pure and tasty. The ash catch and carbon filter make sure nothin makes it into the tube so cleanin is much easier. This bad boy hits hard and quite (some call it the silient assasin) it gets me lit up!
Glass Pieces: Older generation VS Younger generation
Glass Pieces: Older generation VS Younger generation
Myself and others have noticed from our perspective that the older generation smokers prefer simpler setups, which isn't a bad thing of course.
It seems like they don't really care as much about what kind of piece they use as long as the job gets done.
Whether it's a carved out piece of weed stem, a simple bong n slide, or a thin bowl from china, it doesn't matter.
Then you contrast that to the younger generations.
It always seems like they really get involved with their pieces,
seek out the perfect ones, have elaborate ashcatcher perc diffuser setups, etc.
Does this sound about right for a blanket generalization of these two latest generations of pot smokers?
This is how we view it overall, didn't know how anyone else felt.
Ya, but the older peeps pieces taste like smoking resin...blah, we always use my pieces.
There is for sure the exceptions, as one of my oldest pals uses nice pieces, even has a vaporizer(but he's also a cancer patient and listens to my advice.)
i dont know, im in the younger generation and while its nice smoking out of a triple percolated bong with ash catchers and all that good stuff i just cant bring myself to spend 500 bucks on a smoking device.. any glass piece will do
Im one of those younger generation and i like old school pieces like wooden pipes, ceramic pipes and old school wooden bong. My fav is still the cheap ole gravity bong made out of a one gallon jug, best of all my coconut gravity bong.
i guess i'm somewhere in the middle of the 2 gen's but i prefer glass but i still have an old plastic hooka from when i was in highschool that i refuse to throw away .it still hits like a champ an has some sed-i-mental value for me also got a tiny bowl carved outta some kinda marble thaat i keep as a back up piece
depends on who you ask. the old school hippies certainly won't hesitate to smoke out of whatever peice you throw at them, be it wood, clay, or glass. there are, however, certain older smokers who i'd definitely classify as glass heads, but they grew up on JBD and older style worked glass. the same can be said of younger generations, most younger (16-20yo) smokers now wouldn't be able to tell you what a tree perc is, and are content to battle with water bottle grav bongs and $60 chinese bubblers. on the other hand, there's a growing community of young glass heads who are into high quality glass and are willing to drop the extra cheese to get it.
like i said, it depends who you ask
That's kind of what I was getting at, the young community are into a lot of 'high quality' that costs the big bucks, they're into artist collections, etc. I don't see that as much with the older people, granted I'm sure there are a bunch of old and young who contradict this generalization..the glass is of here and the glass of, say, toke city, are of completely different worlds, it seems. Not to say I'm passing judgment on either style, I just find it interesting.
I'm almost 30, but I consider myself the younger generation, I like my glass like I like my guns, clean. My friends over 30 still use rubber grommets and water that makes you vomits. I also support the local glass blowers(there's some good names around me) whose work is easily 100 times better than your adult bookstore spoon, looks better, lasts longer, easier to clean because of the proper sized holes.
Nobody complains when I bring one of my bongs over, all compliments.
I guess my point is: Would you rather smoke mexi brick with moths and urined down corona on them, or some top notch quality nugs, now how about in a black tar plastic and rubber bong, or a nice clean all glass bong, would you rather drink beer in a can or out of a bottle? The taste is just better, IMO, same with using a non-butane source of ignition/combustion/vaporization.
