Wow thanks everybody for the responses! To answer a few questions, no I don't think I need to post anything in Colorado to show that I'm legal and I think the lock on the water idea is EXCELLENT. I'm going to implement that immediately. I figure she hasn't mentioned anything and neither will I (at first), because we are very cordial when we see each other out front. We're in either unit of a rented and fenced duplex, andthe water bill is split anyway so I'm unsure as to her motivation in this, but she definitely never asks to come in my yard and always leaves the hose hooked up. She has asked me not to come through her yard too so... Weird right?

I was thinking of just putting a bunch of shit in the way of the gate also like my lawn mower and a stack of lawn chairs. Maybe I'll just mulch and seed the area by the gate and ask her not to open it so the new grass doesn't die??? That could be effective AND neighborly and I would have an excuse to put a lock on the gate because she has two BIG dogs that I don't want "destroying my new grass".

maybe she doesn't have a spigot on her side? I would just talk to her. She probably does not even know what your plants are. If you want to be 100% safe, laminate your license and leave it next to the plants, in case cops come when you are not home. That should protect them from getting ripped up.

I am sure there is an explanation of why she does that. Just ask her " Why do you come and use my spigot? " Maybe offer to put a Y on the spigot and she can have a hose run all the time. Present it like you are helping her

good advice with the spigot lock,of course be nice and cordial 1st .Then if that doesn't work ,you could always use cement.It would take awhile to figure out cement is blocking the hose...just a thought

What I did was I just piled a bunch of my back yard stuff in front of the gate- ie the mower, a stack of lawn chairs, box of charcoal etc. That way, if she really needs access she'll have to come talk to me, which she hasn't done yet. If she does and its the case that she doesn't have her own spigot, I'll probably offer to do the Y thing or suggest she get a kitchen sink hose hookup. Afterall, I'm renting my unit and I have no obligation to let her in at all.

As far as laminating my liscense there are two terrible problems in colorado with that- it is void if laminated and its illegal to duplicate it. Lame right? I think its colorado's way of making mmj patients remain out of sight and out of mind.

Wow that sucks! IDK where you get your liscence for it in CO but can't you ask them to make a copy for you? for a legal backup?

When I went to water though I noticed my hose was disconnected and another one was siphoning water to my neighbor's lawn! WTF!?

Quite simple. I'd take what is mine and post a no trespassing sign. I'd also put a water usage meter on the faucet and then I would keep a log of my own personal usage.

If I noticed the readings to be wrong, I'd simply take pictures and have a nice little folder put together one for her...and one for local PD. And then I'd give her a choice...and I'd be sure to include a bill.

Or I'd find something equally annoying and tedious from which to take from her yard...say go dig up certain flowers that you like and replant them by / around your mailbox....hehehe. Does she have a garden gnome?

The printing on the cards in MI rubs off over time, leaving nothing but a blank piece of plastic inside your wallet....

Put your license inside a large ziploc bag staple it to a stake or something. Just use something that doesn't stick to the license.

Can you take a picture of your med card? Put a picture of the card out there. That way there is no way it can be called a duplicate.
