Possible Security Breech

So I woke up this morning to check on my garden, which has 3 little lowryder in it as well as many normal plants like beans, pumpkin, tomato etc. When I went to water though I noticed my hose was disconnected and another one was siphoning water to my neighbor's lawn! WTF!? Anyway we've got two problems here: my neighbor is an asshole and stealing my water AND she comes into my yard whenever she pleases before I wake up.

I'm legal in the State of Colorado for 3 flowering and 3 non-flowering plants. I'm well within my limits in the backyard just having 3 non-flowering at this point, but my neighbor of course is not aware of my medical usage. I don't want hassle from the police or the other neighbors catching wind of this anyway though. Sad fact is I can't lock her out of the yard because the side of the gate that opens is in hers!

Should I set up my indoor grow early and transplant my babies or excercise my right as a legal Colorado Medical Marijuana patient and continue growing in my garden? Mind you, she hasn't even mentioned "borrowing" my water yet.

Pre-build a gate that is like hers and face it your way and lock it.

Put up a camera to get the look on her face when she opens her gate and sees yours.

No shortage of rude people, (Off post,, my neighbor had a septic leach line on my property and wanted to put a new one in.):fsu:

I would definetly have a talk with my neighbor and tell her to NEVER take "anything" from my yard without asking me first.

That's a trip... kinda funny little story... I just picture this little old lady sneaking about at 5am tapping into your garden... lol...

Outside of the privacy issues... the biggest thing that would concern me is once they are into the bloom cycle.

If concerned about what the neighbors think... don't know if you'll be able to get around that in but a short while! peace ;-)

next time you find the hose connected go to her door, knock, ask her if she could accompany you to something you find suspicious. when you get to the hose that's leading to her garden say
"wtf is this horse shit lady? Stealing water is a criminal offense and next time i find the hose connected i will be contacting the authorities and will remain here so it is still connect when they arrive. I will also be considering a video recording security system. Thank you! Have a great day!"

IDK.. I think theres a little bit of over spitefulness here. I would obviously ask her not to do that, but I would be mature, polite and respectful about it. If there was a repeat offense, I might do some more of the things others here suggested.. especially the "build your own gate" defense. Don't go too crazy, be an adult, but don't allow it to continue. my 2 cents.

Just take the handle off the faucet so you have to use pliers, then tighten it to being old lady proof when you turn off the water

Turn off your stopcock or whatever every evening if you can.. If she persists then????????
I can suggest a few CRACKING PRANKS.. Don't put yourself in danger grow LEGAL but you can.. IRRADICATE her lawn... or grow ferral plants on her property...er better not..

Have you tried just speaking politely to your neighbour,,, mentioning the water bill!!

Tell her that you will be growing your limit.. (REGARDLESS) .. Get the SMELLYIST plants and get them big so they annoy her and say I'll water my grass now cheers free water for my ganja and whistle a tune hum sing blaze up..

Fuck I would do a scrog inside and vent to her room if she persisted,,,

Only cos your Legal..

Do you rent, if so, is the water free?

Why is she doing this?

I would defiantly physically stop her with a fence.

Is that a common egress and you cannot legally bolt her out.

I know she is old but is she hot,, maybe,,,:flowers2::huggg::woohoo:

there are ton of The Faucet Locks. I know shes a bitch for stealing your water. I hate to make things worse when neighbors are involved you have to live there. If you put a lock on she will get the message with no confrontation unless absolutely necessary.

I would have taken the hose away. Or cut it off the faucet. Whats she going to do, call the cops and tell them you stole her hose while she was stealing your water?

What I'm wondering is, if she's already been in your yard when she thinks no one is seeing her, don't you figure that she has already seen your MJ plants? If so, no real point in removing them now.

Also, are you supposed to have some kind of notice posted near your med grow? If you are, and you do have one posted, then f her and everyone else!

I hate it for you that she is putting you in this situation! I mean, she's obviously got a screw loose, so I would do other things before confronting her, cuz maybe That's what she's waiting for as an excuse to go off on you or do worse behaviors than she is already doing.

Anyway, my suggestion for the best "bang-for-your-buck" solution is a padlock-type thing that goes over the faucet...I've seen them in L.A....

Please definitely keep us posted on how this plays out. Sending good karma your way!!

I started typing my response before yours showed up... otherwise I would have just said :yeahthats

Solution -

Take some skydrol (aviation hydraulic fluid) and put it on your hose where you have to unscrew it. Now if she touches her private parts within a few hours, they will burn for a while (a few days sometimes). Repeat until lesson learned.

Oh and if you get it on yourself, and you start to feel the burn. Rub some mineral oil on it, it seems to be the only thing besides time that stops the burn.

taking her hose or cutting it off(destroying it) would be a very clear and understandable message.

here she comes: knock, knock. Did you take my hose?
you: I took a hose that was connected to my bib. Are you the one that has been stealing my water?

Take her hose, slightly crimp both ends with a pliers so she will never be able to screw it onto anything again.

Take her hose and go knock on her door and ask what she was doing.
That's your neighbor, so you want things to stay civil even if you feel like knocking her dentures out.
Let her know that this is not to happen again, and that you are upset about it.
