I would like to thank each and every one of you personally, but I'm fighting through the tears at the moment..... my contact lenses are simply coated with protein from all of my crying and I can't see very clearly right now... I must not have cried this much since I was 2.
It is with incredible and unbelievable sadness that I write that our dear beloved pupper, Jake the dog, has passed on to the next energy level of existence. At approximately 8:01 am this morning, with his head on my lady's lap and me staring into his eyes and telling him what a good boy he is and that we were soon going to the 'beach', and the 'park' for good boys, that he took his final breath in this world, and passed on to the next. He was serene and quiet, in no pain or apparent discomfort thanks to the prescription IV meds.
The doctors, nurses and technical staff at our local hospital were all so kind, caring and respectful to his needs and ours... I can't even put into words what honourable work these people do. To all you animal health care providers, a big thank you for all your hard work, and the long and late hours you put in to keep our loved ones safe and comfortable when they are in need!
I won't thank all of you by name, but I want everyone here to know we've both read and appreciate your words of support and kindness in our time of immense sadness.
I want to thank you all on Jake's behalf as well... I know our little grow dog is sending you and your crops (which he so loved being part of!) positive vibes from his new home,
Please everyone send your positive vibes for Jake travellling safely through the ether to his new energy level, wherever or whatever state that may be. If everyone could also please send some positive vibrations, intention and energy to Johnny Rotten and his companion as well, I would be eternally grateful to each and every one of you. Johnny I'm keeping you and your pup in my thoughts.
So sorry. My deepest condolences to you and the misses. Im sorry he had to go bro. I know how much he meant to you. Sending thoughts of peace to your family.
Chimera,
So sorry to read this. It would devastate me if something like this was to happen to my little Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I would do anything to protect her as she would for me. She means the world to me so I can understand how you feel. Im so sorry for your loss.

Chimera, I'm so sorry for your loss. No more pain for your pupper!
I hafta admit, I almost didn't read this thread cuz I knew it would make me cry. And of course, I'm crying now too. Please know that there are many of us who can relate all too well to the grief and sadness you are feeling.
The love between a dog and their human family is a beautiful, beautiful thing. RIP Jake!
i sure hope jake is doing better i would rather loose a finger than one of my dogs they wrap their way around your heart like nothing people who do not have one can ever imagine .my continued prays and good vibes for jake
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It is always a kick in the proverbial chest of your being to lose something so close to you; a family member, a friend, a loyal protector who loves unconditionally. I am very sorry again for your loss, I can only hope that sometime in the coming year you can find a pup whose soul will match yours so keenly that he becomes equally as loved and loving as Jake. Already burning one for brother Moth but Jake can have the second half. Burnin one for you Jake, may you run free and happy with all the spunk of youth and all the wisdom of age!
im so sad for you, that is such a hard, but fair thing to do.
if you are ever ready to, maybe you can save another dogs life. that was the only thing that stopped me from crying everyday. its not a replacement, nothing will ever be able to replace him, but at least you will be able to create new memories and bring happiness to an animal that may have been put to sleep without you
Sorry to hear about your loss. A pet can be as much a part of a family as any human. I'm sure he had some great times with you and the fam. Remember the good times, all suffering will pass. Best wishes to you and the missus.
