Poppin' My Own Cherry(ick) Auto AK47 Grow

Started the flush on day 65, figuring my grow was going to be about 75 days total. It's early morning on day 71 at this wrinting, so I'm figuring about Wed they will start getting harvested and I think there will be a few days between different plants being ready. I'm going strictly by trics on this grow.

How long have you had your carbon filter? How many grows? I am still on #1 kind of with this carbon filter, but I am wondering how long it will last me.

To look at the trichs do you use one of those pocket scope things? Ive got one and it is so hard to get it into focus, maybe a little hint at your method could help me. I try and determine by that, but when I think they are ready I chop off one of the buds and look at it under my really awesome microscope, like the one found in university science labs, and its simply amazing! But anyways, if I was correct and they are how I want them, then I harvest the rest of the plant, otherwise just hang that bud up to dry and try again in a day or two depending on the situation

Hey mary, I just got this carbon filter at the beginning of this grow. I'm not sure if the smell is coming from the filtered exhaust or from the various openings for intake, power cords, things like that.

I'm using the Radio Shack portable microscope to check trics. I'm snipping bud leaves off each plant every other day or so and checking them. My understanding is the trics on the leaves mature faster than on the buds, so I'm using them as a guide.

What is the cfm on your exhaust fan, and do you have just passive intakes?

That was actually a very helpful reply Muy, I have never heard that and I am amazed that I havent come across that nice little piece of information. That would make it a lot easier i believe. I am going to do that today! THANKS!
