Polyshield or an Equivalent IR Protection Film

D

DEDHEDFRED

It`s been my experience to assist in dissipating the heat generated from the entire process before it leaves the residence instead of blastin it out the house with heat signature from Hell waving a red flag...........The patrol cops in cars use handheld units to check out upperclass subdivisions for grow ops where I live not to mention that we have the military doing subcontractor work for local LEO here in Hell and the technology they have is beyond what ya`ll could ever hide from.......They see the signature and immediately a judge signs a "probable cause" warrant and it`s off to the races even if they break in granny`s home with a fireplace and laundry room in the basement......They`re checkin shit out on a grid schedule in my area and it ain`t pretty........Folks droppin like flies.....Big Ops ......but more mom and pop grows that didn`t amount to SHIT of an exterior heat signature if they`d been smart enough to blow it around somewhere else inside the house before exhausting out the house.....There is no quick fix snake-oil product to do away with growroom generated heat exhaust.........Period........I own a fairly expensive laser-thermometer that I survey my grows outside the homes after everything goes online to make sure the eye in the sky or No one else can see my shit..........I grow in basements and exhaust out crawlspaces a long way from the outside of the home and by the time it hits the foundation vents , it`s pretty much ambient after filtering through a lung room of sorts.........There are ways to dissipate the heat signature if you care to do it....Wish I lived in Cali and did`nt haveta fuck with this shit.........Ya`ll kill me with yer mega-watt grows........ :violin: ...........Ya`ll take care.......DHF............ :joint: .........

Does the Polyshield demo show them reading from inside or outside the room??

I think Polyshield is snakeoil/bullshit.

NO

the demo is at www.polyshield.ca

some points of interest

A) You cannot see lights within a house just like you cant see humans in a house, BUT the ambient room temprature may bias the outside wall depending on temprature gradient. So if there is a 100 degreee 1000 watt buld in a 70 degree house and its 70 degrees outside the walls wont register.

B) Using wikipedias infrared wiki entry, notice the legend showing tempratures and the correlating color, you will notice that even a 3-4 degreee difference in temprature shows big in infrared. You can see the different colors of the girsl face its that sensitive and slight changes of heat still regsiter

C) All Infrared photos ive seen show houses that have big hot spots throughout the most conductive material (i.e. concrete foundation, chimney, etc.) not globes of heat comming from the lights in th grow

D) As per the Wiki entry a good percentage of heat reflected from light (49% in regards our sun) changes and is no longer infrared. polysheild only works for infrared heat (heat generated by lights not by things like ballasts)

E) There web site shows a demo, but has very little information regarding the technical specs. What temprature gradient does it offer protection for etc. They offer little in the way of specifications that even come close to adhering a quality control system similar to iso9001.

F) Not one reference to any real data form any google search, justs from optimistic potheads who love the thought of being invisable. Noone with a infrared system has said one thing about it. No testimonies, no real life stories .

Im not saying it doesnt have some properties, I bought it because of the thinkness, the supposed mold resistance and light relection capabilities. It is so think it makes a great curtain to tighten the light on a grow but not everything sounds right enough for me to tell anyone your safe from getting caught using it.

if that makes me miss the boat on high school physics so be it.

OMG what BULLSHIT!!!!!

it's great in protecting you against FLIR scan FROM INSIDE THE ROOM.

What a bunch of rip-off butt-pirates!!!!

Selling fear with their shitty little video.

Why don't they show a video of a HOUSE???

yea you are!!!

yea they do...
here are a couple images ive snaged from the net, grow houses under flir.

I call bullshit on those pix- they're at least 5 years old and came from a company SELLING FLIR.

I still stick with my earlier statement. Even with a room with polyshield inside a room inside a room that's A/ced, FLIR will still pick up your growroom. These things see through walls.

i just picked up that reflectix from Lowes....

If you take a quick look at it, its simply mylar / or some other aluminium based material (possibly the stuff those disaster blankets are made of) on the outside of a dual bubble wrap layer.)

basically they are doing something like this:

[high conductivity / low emissivity ] [low conductivity / high emissivity] [low conductivity / high emissivity] [high conductivity / low emissivity ]

basically creating the room within a room effect.

Of course its not going to work AS GOOD as a room within a room, but i still think using this stuff would completely remove those large red areas if done on that one house someone posted a bit ago.

geek speak - first off, you are rude. second, i DID post it! open your eyes buster...

"buster"..LOl- ok, whatever gramps-

I asked you for something solid- and you didn't produce shit.

Put up or shut up- is that a complicated concept for you???

Go troll another forum. We don't need you here...

aren't you the one that said FLIR can see thru walls????

was that a weak attempt at humor?? or are you really that ignorant???

try the stuff posted on page one from Lowes...

reflects 97+% of radiant heat... made of the same stuff nasa uses for the emergency blankets.

someone with 2k go buy a FLIR camera on e-bay!
