What's new

Polyploidy

If your interested in whorled phyllotaxy, try a pack of DP skunk#1. I had all 10 of mine(12yrs ago) display this trait along with bud growing from the center of the fan leaves, on some. Very vigorous, easy to grow and it was good smoke. If it's still the same quality, I would say it's a bargain for a plant which was very fun to watch and grow.

dubi,
No, I never did STS a whorled phyllotaxy to see what the progeny gave.
I did notice that most of my whorled phyllotaxy plants over the years have been male.

shantibaba,
Good to see you got the same results with whorled phyllotaxy that I did.
I have a clone of a faciated Original Haze female that does not express faciated until the clone is over 5 feet tall then the main stem flattens and the flowers dragon-eye at the top. I have had the clone for 20 years.

BagAppeal,
No faciated are not good for hemp production. The stem fiber can not be extracted with ease or in good quality or quanity.

If nobody has mentioned it already...the smoke from these "triples" (3 nodes per) is neither better nor worse than "regular" plants. And yes, they can be a female.
