Greetings everyone !

Well, I'm not much used to post this kind of stuff, but I need some help. I've been locked into some bloody depression since a few months and it's getting heavier & heavier. Would you please say a prayer for me and send me some positive vibes, 'cause I see no way out of it nowadays. I just feel like a mammoth who would have stepped in a bitumen pond & every move actually gets me deeper into it. I just feel like shit.
Can't seek recomforting from my local buddies (as one said once "we have our owns problems, so we don't want to hear about others' ones", sheesh...) so I'm asking here. If someone has a few spare smiles & good words, then I'll be glad to take them. It probably won't cure me, but it might feel good, who knows...

this might sound funny but when i feel one of those down and out depression times, i pray to the light and ask that the funk be removed!!! if you believe in god, pray to god!!! or pray to a special family member that is watching out for ya!!!............i just prayed to the light for you...hope it helps!!! i am sending you the biggest truckload of good vibes known to man!!! you should of felt that.....i just gave you the biggest big brother hug you could ever imagine!!only allow yourself to process good vibes,,,delete the bad ones from your processor!!!peace and good luck!!!please try to pray to the light!!! it helps me when i am feeling low!!!dj

You are not alone and I send Good vibes too you. BTW- I always go through this during this time of year.
I believe everyone goes through these periods. (some more sever than others) They suck but...Please consider this:If you do not experience the "BadTimes" you will not be able to fully appreciate the "Good Times". [Yin-Yang type stuff:joint:]
I guess it is part of life/living. [which is a terminal "condition" that we ALL share]

I suggest that you embrace the Funk for a short period and then expel it!
Some things that help me expel the Funk:
#1- Exercise (this is #1 for a reason)
#2- Lay off of chemicals
#3- Eat real food.
#4- Stay engaged in activities that keep you mentally occupied. IE-Basket weaving, trout fishing, goat riding, collecting Virgin Vinyl dolls... whatever! [hey, I don't judge!]
#5- good old (70s/80s) uncut/crass comedy or comedian works for me too!
#6- Good Music with "happy" tone. (Random example: Wild Cherry- Play that Funky music White Boy!)
I believe the Good-times you face will equal or exceed these Bad-times. Considers these days as a deposit on future joy!

I've been to some dark places myself, and I know how tough it can be - but if it is depression you are going through, just remember that some chemicals in your head are tricking you into thinking things are worse than they really are.

You'll get through it, man. Puft has some good tips for you, and keep in mind that there are a lot of people out here pulling for you.

Sending positive vibes your way mriko, I agree with Staypuft on the working out. It really has had a way of pulling me out of some long term funks in my past, set some goals and go accomplish them! Keep your head up, you're gonna pull out of this and you've got us here pulling for you!

My heart goes out to you, depression can be so incredibly difficult. I applaud you in seeking avenues for resolve. It is an ingenuous step to seek a different approach to your moods, such as posting in this community, IC. It shows you are trying to get out of your depression even if it is hard to see right now.

Mriko this morning let's pretend the sun is just twinkling through the trees as it rises, it is a cool morning with a mist rising. You are sitting next to me with your camera on a tripod, fixed and focused on one spot in the budsites patch..a spot just above the colas that are starting to glisten in the morning rays...you hear the humming of little wings, tiny little feathers keeping pettite little birds aflight. We puff and smile at each other...they are comming..before you know it you are thinking of nothing but capturing that shot you have waited forever for. hey mate!:)

just to let you know that im suffering from pretty much the same thing :( depression is ALWAYS caused by stress,or bad things going on in our lives.stress can cause all kinds of negative inner vibes, wich ultimatly makes you depressed.I find that the only way to release these bad feelings is to try and ignore them and do something thatll definatly cheer you up, even if it only cheers u up for a little while it will still train your mind to stay out of depression for small periods of time :).

And not to mention the tried and tested method of DAILY and REGULAR EXERCISE. :) Just a siple walk in the morning, or a half hour vigorouse work out will dramaticly help.TRUST! :) thats why i have a daily routine, it really does help :)
