Pirate as you know im and accomplished soil and ebb and flow grower...i use aeropnics for cloning only. I want to switch to aeroponic room by room. Im not big at DIY and found the "AeroFlo ²® 60 Site Aeroponics System" its expandable as i would need at least 2 per area...i worked with a vendor and can get for 900 turn key.....

What do you think about the system?

Since i consider you the aeroponic jedi master your inputs greatly appreciated

It really is too bad you aren't a DIYer because the systems are very easy to build. A friend bought all the materials and we had it together in an afternoon after work and still had enough time to be sipping beers while we watched the sun set over the water.

We built 4X4s for a room with a couple of 600s in air cooled hoods. It really wasn't hard at all. Just get your pvc, pvc glue, right sized tap or drill bit, and something to cut your pvc with. Its like legos, you just have to figure out how many sprayers you want and @ what pressure. Always go with low gph rated misters that way you can put a lot of them in there. The important thing is to buy a good reliable pump and have another one on hand just in case that one fails. You want to go with sprayers that have built in filters and you want to use multiple filters in your system to try to keep your sprayers clean.

Container really doesn't matter as long as the floor allows for proper drainage. We build our 4x4s out of some insulation board backed with some hard plastic sheeting, turned out pretty well after we dropped the liner in. I live in a nonmed state so buying anything has to be something easily looked over. But really size doesn't matter. You said you wanted to use 8x4s? They would work. I would suggest making sure you use the pvc in a way to prace up the top as well. If you are going to have a sog of full flower plants up there you want something supporting that top from below.

when you say allows for drainage you mean pitch make sure my pitch diverts water to one end where it catches filter and returns to reservoir?

Yea thats what I mean, the pitch of the floor of the container should provide for the water to run to wherever your drain is located, some places it is put in the middle, others it is placed on one end. You can manipulate it if you have a flat bottomed container by shimming one end or side of it, no big deal. I would just take a look at how Pirate did his and follow his lead. I think he does say something about some better sprayers/nozzles at some point... but I don't recall what page.
