Hey thanks for dropping into the Cave everybody !! Are ya gettin tired of hearin me say.............."I appreciate the comments"?

Well I do !!

Looking good Pirate!

Do you hand trim your buds or do you use a trimmer?
I have a highly effective trimmer that I use to handle my larger harvests. It's the latest and greatest thing actually. It uses no electricity and is hand powered, It's environmentally friendly, I can set up it to do exactly what I need it to do within minutes, I can pump as much bud into it as I want and it won't stop until the job is done, It can trim a pound of bud in 3 1/2 to 4 hours (but I have to trim off the fan leaves first), Replacement blades are only $10.00 or so.

Every grower should have one of these. The only down side is the cost. It's definitely one of the most expensive trimmers out there. It's not that much to acquire one............. but over the long haul...........It can get pretty expensive and will demand regular maintenance. (It needs "Greasing Up"........so to speak)

The 2 best features of my trimmer are............

1) The top of the unit has a flat spot that I can use to set my beer down.

2) It can even provide sexual pleasure !! (and this, while still trimming the buds...........the blades never stop moving). Just picture Edward Scissorhands type action on the blades and you'll get an idea of how effective this thing can trim. Killing 2 birds with one stone is a major plus for a unit like this.

Here's the trimmer "Crapping out" and letting me know................ it might be time for an upgrade !!!

Speaking of trim....

I see in the old farts thread that you're thinking about using your leftovers for compost. What do you do with them now? I'm not going to have nearly as much (I can only dream) but I hesitate to put them in the garbage. Compost isn't an option for me at this time.

Well If I was you I wouldn't throw em in the trash can. You can either bury small amounts in the yard or bag em up separate and throw the bag into a remote can somewhere. If its very little then that's fine. Again.....if its very little then you can dump em down the disposal but you better make sure you know how to fix it if it breaks. You can't call a plumber or landlord if you clog the system up. You'll have to fix it yourself. But then there is larger stalks to deal with that can't go into the disposal.

I have over an acre of land and I just throw the trashy stuff and stems over the hill side. I'm working on getting a yard waste chipper machine to grind it all up.

A compost pile is my best option.

My back yard: It had just rained so the river is full and muddy. Normally its crystal clear mountain spring water.

Entering and leaving the property Its hard to tell from the photo but this "creek" is 10 feet wide by 3 feet deep right now from the rain. Its normally around 4 to 6 wide and a foot deep and crsytal clear. It actually enters the property another 100 feet to the left. I got about 200 to 225 feet of "brook" to romp around in. (NUDE). Yeah..........picture that one !!

LOL. I envisioned a guy dressed as a pirate half passed out in a kids inflatable rubber dingy with bottle of ale in hand. As he floats down the creek flying a pirate flag with a nice cold 6 pack in tow. In all seriousness though ,nice piece of land Pirate. Much respect
