Great work!! I noticed those autos we tried with color (red and purple hues) were small in stature compared to counterparts of white, AK, etc. or other auto strains. Potent, yet not large plants.

Did you experience similar?

excellent question! Ive noticed that as well, the solid purple phenotypes that start of with solid purple calyx will more than likely be outpaced (vegetative growth) by the green and light purple plants 9 times out of 10 (unless its just a really special and vigorous plant)even in the same exact populations.

With hued (colored) strains, we don't go for large yield. It's the taste, esthetic appearance and effect!!

I must say I am very surprised to see only 1 plant dark purple and the rest light purple-green from this population since all 6 mothers used were dark purple and the dad was a light puple male, either way still nice plants and I am willing to bet theyll gain a bit more color as the flower cycle goes on.

the A1-P line is really shaping up to be my most superior line as far as holding individuals with all the traits im after in one package, now just to stabilize them a bit more and increase the occurrence of these "perfect" individuals and Ill be set.

That is some fine work there my friend. Does growing that many plants in the tote reduce the size of them? I like the concept. It seems to make sense to me. How big will they get? 1' ? 2' maybe?

yes, growing in the totes limits root size, especially if 2 girls happened to come up right next to each other. growing outdoors also limits the size and yield of the plants because I only get like 10 hours of light a day (im in the city)

On the first page I have some pics of indoor grown plants, they range from 1'-3' most being 1 1/2-2'

the totes just allow me to throw down hundreds of seeds at a time and cull all the weak plants and males without having to waste resources on them like I would in a cup or in pots. then when all the strong girls flower I can see who I want to continue with and whos just going to be bong fodder.

The insect load is getting to the point that I may have to spray by this week to keep them alive for the remainder of the month, the thrips, caterpillars and other unsavory pests are really getting a foothold now and the bennies arent working hard enough so the plants are showing a lot of lower leaf damage and poop marks haha

1 more month and Ill have some really Primo seed stock!

The little totes seem to have hit there stride and have now begun to take off!
the smaller A1 tote has 2 Pink pistiled plants and the other has like 6

Like I said in past posts, the variation in pistil colors is really astounding and even the amount of pink pistils a plant throws varies from pheno to pheno, one of the A1 in the more populous tote is Bright ass Hot Pink on every last pistil!!! thats going to make a great mom

even the green phenos are good in thes totes, very frawsty!

keeping veg limited so I dont outgrow the pots. aka "semi-dwarfing"
best 2-3 females will be femenized and collected pollen will be applied to best 2-3 from group 2 for femenized F8 progeny.

1 plant was replaced by a backup because its foliage was pretty well annhilated by a hitchiking baby caterpillar.

colds making them a bit slower than normal and ive only had to water 3 times so far but they seem to be doing just fine.

Pistils and balls are now visible on many plants and there seems to be many more females then males so far. Culling will begin very soon

All these gals were the most vigorous out of their respective pots and now they get to show what theyve got in the flower department





And im saving these 2 nice males in case I want a branch or 2 of regular beans from the girls as well.
