Correct, however its a start!. Will someone please take on this challenge, I've tried using only 1 strain from 1 breeder, really interested in this but don't have the beans or equipment to take it further. (For now!)

All I am doing is exploring the possibilities, not just for me but for others, Ive seen many questions on the AF thread.

Somehow now it doesn't seem worth it!

smiler I never wanna see you type 'Somehow now it doesn't seem worth it' ever again...what you have done is get the ball rolling so to speak.. the way you have gone about it wont give any reall conclusive data, but it does open up the forum for others to contribute... maybe once you have done a seed run give it another go... use 10 plants for each method cropping, topping, LST

and get back to this thread and record your results...

personally i just cant see pinching/topping really working myself. it take time to recover from that and throw "cola's" out of other nodes. you have started something here smiler, good work! keen to see what the outcome is, i may even top a couple of mine to see how they react lol!

Thank you to all for the info above, Ive had a good think about this and realised that I need to get a grip of myself. This is my first grow for fucks sake, what I REALLY need to do is learn how to grow the plant, find and keep good strains, understand the growth cycle and then I can maby start messing about. I will be back for help and general chat until I am confident enough to carry out a real logical experiment.

After all some times the tortoise wins.

to be honest smiler the plant will grow itself. as long as you dont do anything silly cannabis is pretty hard to kill. hence why people call it weed lol it will grow anywhere!

i think a plant thats prone to bush out anyways like lowdyer n ak-47 might like to be topped, but ive got one hindu kush auto right now and its a very single stalk plant pheno, only the lowest two branches did any kind of strecthing, in bloom the plant probally grew like 4-5 inches and is about 1.5 tall. id guess plants prone to stretch n be bushy are best for that(topping,pinching).just my two cents-

Photo #2 - MasterLow Topped right AFTER sexing(directly after..)

Photo #3 - MasterLow Topped BEFORE sexing

Just sharing.. So far #3 is the biggest.. and will produce the most. Anyone tried FIM yet?

You dont have to be brave to Lst an AF, ive alwAys done it both soil and dro: great results.

How many days/weeks is 'before' and 'after' sexing?

What I mean is; is 'before' 2 days, 20 days, etc?

And once they've shown sex, how much time is 'after'? 1 day? 2 weeks? etc

Have you tried various before and after dates?

For example; the 'before sexing topping'; Have you tried topping at say 5 days of veg vs 20 days of veg?

It works great. If you give them proper light and nutrients, they have no problem reaching their genetic potential.
