Appreciate the response stoney. I understand that shit is locked down like no other but he's working something that he's calling piff into his crosses and I for one am curious . I was talking to matt on another board asking for pictures of people growing out the uptown crosses he made, but he said people have been sitting on them since they've bought them for the most part.

This is what it says on his site:
Other names for the Uptown Haze are: The Piff, Frankie, Puday, NYC Haze, Church...a nd I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. Note: this is NOT the Cuban Black Haze in this line, this is the real deal Piff out of NYC collected for us by DoggyStyleD73.

I believe what Matt is working with is definitely a haze line out of NYC. Whether its what everyone knows as "piff" I'm not certain but the person it came from is pretty legit so its gotta be something good. Matt's been known for some shady things though so it'll be interesting to see what comes out of this for sure

Not to derail this thread but most of what I've heard about matt riot seems far from the truth. He gives away his beans just as much as he sells them probably. I'm no fanboy, I've never grown or bought any of his gear, but I will say he has been very friendly and generous on another forum to myself and others where he basically just tells it like it is, and I can appreciate that. When I first came to the online world of weed years ago I too heard all that shit about matt, and to avail I didn't really find much proof behind these claims.

Quite a while ago we were passed a cut of his riotberry og to us as a cookies cut. It was the weakest smoke I have ever grown. Imagine smoking a cigarette... ok that's riotberry og LOL

As someone who has smoked lots of good piff and misses that weed very much, I wouldn't touch his seeds with a 10ft pole.

why would someone pass you that as a cookies cut? Riotberry OG as has always been said is strictly medicinal for pain relief. it's not a super awesome let's get fucked up and high strain. I mean, if you think the only thing awesome about cannabis is that it gets you soooper high, that's rad not knocking you at all, that's a common thought, however There's a lot more to a strain than that.

And the quote above about starting a collective to steal cuts is outrageous. See treating yourself magazine issue about san diego urban growers society. it wasnt some small little shit thing, it was quite large and well respected. it never made a dime and only cost money, but it was to fight against the retards who open up collectives in san diego and were raping true medical patients with terminal illnesses on their med prices.

So, again I'm sure you had great reason to think that because Raskal said it, but Raskal doesn't know me. But it was a hell of a good ploy to smash competition, hell people are still spitting it 5 years later. Kudos!

but back to the point - the uptown haze seeds were given to me by DoggyStyleD79 - some of you might remember him from other forums back in the day. He had a reason to be around the dominicans a lot (i dont wanna say his profession) and tthats where these were acquired. SO I really don't care if you trust me or whatever misgivings you might have because you read somewhere I was a prick one time to someone (and i totally have been before, so some of the hate is valid) but if you've been around a long time and know DStyle you know the dude doesn't bullshit. In fact at one time he hated me more than some of you do because of my mean mouth =). I promise I'm workin on the temper thing each day.

First time we copped haze was from a Dominican crew in the 170s or 180s back in 99...we went on a quest for it. I remember it like it was yesterday...airy and definite frankincense. We rolled up a 20 in a Phillie and sparked it. We couldn't get up for a while after...when we did, I swear the world was bouncing around me when I was walking back to the train and my legs felt like rubber. LOL. It was a mission getting back downtown!

I miss that basment smelling gray colored musty moth ball haze we all know as piff from the tri state area. If that became stabilized and available i would stock her as a mom for sure. Miss that taste and high. Unlike any other for sure and a beautiful plant i imagine. If anyone gets piff locked down ill test those seeds no problem. Dwc style, flood and drain, organic soil, take your pic. Im sure id be on a wait list though

Try but ima tell ya noone had luck with those beans... i started tryin back in 96 .... most are tiny premature alot of the ones that do make it r full out herms... i had 2 i grew out and they were not worth shit... i started to believe my boy was fukin with me tossin a few reg trash beans in lb....... neway like 20 yrs later finally got the cut .. act 2 different cuts.... one green punay and the golden shiney 189 fire the shit in the sealed bags 40s were 2.2 .i just popped some panama red columbian gold and catpiss beans to look for a male... im told the stringy dark red hair grayish purple cut 139nBroad is nomore... good luck with that seed hope it works out...im act hopin ya find a straight male... if ya do dont toss him please pm me....

The parents of Uptown Haze are unknown. Period. But these seeds came from HIGH GRADE Uptown. Church, Frankies, Brown, WTF?! This is Uptown Haze. Period. Call it what you want, those that live in NYC and surrounding areas KNOW. These seeds came from THE BEST Uptown I've ever come in contact with. I've come in contact with more than most as I used to transport. The growers of this strain DO NOT give it out. I know some personally. They are PISSED I AM DOING THIS!​
