I have found her. Piff#2. Finally looking at the some plants today, I NOTICED that she had some visable tricromes. I knew I must get them on my finger and smell them....

THERE IT IS!!!!..... ON THE DOT!

UPTOWN HAZE. PIFF. FRANKIE. CHURCH. WHATVER THE FUCK YOU CALL IT! It is the signiture stank. I KNOW IT WELL.

I'm so fucking excited, I didn't even check the other Uptown. Hold on...

The OTHER UPTOWN STINKS AS WELL! Acutally has a bit of a FRUITY smell along with her...

I cannot explain how CRAZY it is to smell that stench on a LIVE PLANT! Uptown #2 is DEAD ON THE SMELL. #1 as well, but something else is there...

It took 31 days for trics to form (any at all) and the stink to come through. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

Sorry for all the vulgarity but this is insane. Now I PRAY THEY FILL OUT SICKLY... HIGH YIELDERS?!?! Can you imagine? I still got a LONG TIME on these ladies. Hell yeah!

Excellent work!!! Now it would be fantastic to preserve it ,in its purest form .Be it s1 seeds ,or by spreading the clone so it is never lost again.Making sure it gets to a large scale seed producer.You ART can be the originator of the preservation of this rare strain ...Good luck ...and God speed...

I can't wait to smoke some properly grown, dried, and cured Uptown Haze. Aaaaaa sheeet. I can smell the stank in my house now! I think I'm going to light it up for the first time with some grower friends I met here!

I have passed both these phenos on to someone already.

They can come out if they want to...

Other than that, I am now thinking what I should do. I think I would like to stablize this as best I can in seed form in two ways...

An S1. As close a representation of the Uptown Haze I can get, in seed form.

And a cross. One in which the Uptown Haziness and that tell tale taste and stink come through while possibly improving on the yield and flowering time.

This would take some time though. So I guess it would depend on what the person whom I sent the cuts decides to do... And what YOU all think...

I would make these seeds available either for free, or VERY CHEAP, just so I wouls incur no costs.

I am more concerned with preserving this strain than making money off it. That's been done plenty with this particular herb already.

So what's everyone think? We got plenty of time until they finish. Lol. So let's discuss what I should do with these ladies.

Also remembering there are unknowns still:
Hermie tendency?
Yield? (though it doesn't matter to ME, if she yields less than an ounce)
Flowering time?
Differences in finished product between both phenos?

I also have to grow these differently. They need to be bigger I feel to produce.

Gr8 news Art!!!!! I'm here and waitng to see what happens...........i was gifted 2 cuts and properly named them Art and Fire...lol.......this generosity will not be forgotten!!! i will pop up every once in a while to post pics and /or info pertaining to what i see during the growth/flower process......right now they are very vigorous so much so that i had to trim up 25% of the lower stalk..........fed them w/ a tiny amt of nutes to get the roots jumpstarted and they are both in 16oz beer cups for now in str8 coco...........i put them under a twisty flouro to start just to get them used to their new home.........ty again bro and gl!!!!! i feel honored to hold both phenos and i'm super excited to see what can come from your project....let me know if i can do anything else art....besides that have a good weekend and as always stay safe!!!!!!!!

Oh they will grow. You cannot stop them.

Whichever one you feel has more vigorus growth, that's
most likely what I've labled #2.

i had just seen a batch come thru my hands recently at 125 1/4 ..not from my pheno (at least i don't think), but it came outta da clifton and/or surrounding area, possibly from the paterson area but i won't dig the source any further, and i know who it is from indirectly - don't know personally, wouldn't it be funny if it was one of you clowns. has the same odor as mine but slightly less pungent. same stink spicey fumes with a touch of skunk on the side. finger tips have the odor after breaking up, that soury burnt mangoish rubber nose tingling glue funk lingers on the fingers. very similar high, i thought maybe cf was slinging the piff already it was extreamly close! who knowz, lol. but anyways, hope you have a good one. try to keep them close to each other and not spoil the gene pool!!

i know its going around jersey city area for sure, they are calling it purple haze again (lol), and yeah it's not purple.. my eyes get puffy red and my mouth dry if i go over my recommended dose of da piff, lol

Anyways cant wait to see the picture update. It sounds like a really good thing you're going to be doing with the piff, looooong overdue. No longer will it only be accessible by the stingy insiders.

Art- Great to see someone else growing this strain. I am from the E.C. and have been smoking that uptown haze for a few years myself. After all of the strains I have smoked, it is still one of my top 5 favorites. The taste is just unmistakeable! Anyways, this thread is one of the reasons I joined IC because I found a bean in a bag of the uptown haze as well. It is coming along nicely but does look a bit different than yours, different pheno I guess. I will be posting pics in a week or so.

Mine has fairly wide fan leaves, not super wide like afghani or anything, but definately not as skinny as say, my thai skunk plant. It was def the uptown though as good friends of mine brought it back to my area every other week. I was just happy it germinated. It is turning into quite the tree though. It def has the uptown smell when you do a stem rub as well. I'll be sure to share pics as soon as my new digital camera arrives!

If it's haze, you know it's SLLLLLOOOOOWWWW but it's worth the wait I'spose... Not sure if we have similar genetics, but the hermies that I grew out actually turned out to be VERY potent...though I don't miss 'em at all.

Any idea how long you think you'll go until harvest? I am usually well over 100 days..

I forgot, what wattage are you running?
