1: Hey white beard are you being paid to keep this topic quiet?

2: Why do you care if I continue?

3: If you do not wish to hear anymore on the subject just go the fuck away already... sheesh.

4: If you do not wish to see this thread, don't look and don't read this thread, super simple

5: Remember you need not shut down the whole internet, just change the channel brother.

1: not in any way, form, or fashion - but thanks for asking

2: because I find the topic interesting...however, the topic is NOT how pissed you still are...except when you come in to remind us.

3: tried that, but every thread on the topic is now updated daily with how righteously pissed YOU are *now*. Maybe you should change the title of the thread to reflect YOUR preference.

4: already taken care of that

5: ...and you don’t have to make every thread into your personal anger-management podcast. My advice is, change *your* channel: I don’t expect to learn anything further about the Phylos fiasco while we’re constantly being brought back to your feelings. You started several other threads so you could focus better on yourself and who you blame, but that wasn’t enough, you had to come back here and try to get everyone back on YOUR page.

As far as keeping the topic quiet, BTW, driving people out of the threads ON the topic sounds like a swell idea....

I'd be pissed myself if I didn't see this coming, just seeing Sam asking for genetics for Phylyos seemed suspect to me. Sam's company Hortapharm has been working with GW from the beginning and they have some serious patents, not on plants yet at least.

But you can only do so much, I tried to warn people few listened oh, well. Certainly not going to be the end of the world we created some of the greatest strains under the worst days of prohibition, I think we'll be able to keep underground networks of seeds and cuttings going.

Of course many will want the cheaper inferior products much like they love Walmart. Lol, I just like to grow weed personally although not just weed I just like growing I'm actually really excited about these Carolina Reapers I'm growing. :woohoo:

ok that is cool!
Snitching is the new normal in cannabis culture today so I should have expected such from you.

Just so you folks know I have countless members thanking me for being on the front lines of this thing.

I could ask what have you contributed to this topic as a whole.
But I already know the answer, so why ask right...

Yes - I wasn't even aware of this Phylos deception of sorts - till it was made public here - Its good to know about - but how much more can you go on about it, and still keep it interesting?

I have always shared seeds with just about anyone that has asked for them in the past - and never been proprietary about various varieties - nature is for all of us to share from - and I do get a bit peeved when corporations look to be taking advantage of members natural generosity for their own personal gain.

Summary:
Most everybody involved states they could see what was happening at the start.

We will now call this fact.

The deception is evident, no doubt.
Their were some so called celebrity types telling good folks round here they had nothing to worry about send them and me all of your stuff.

Deliberate deception is very evident.
I would like to see those that deliberatly decieved nice folks be discredited and no longer be looked up to by the community.

These folks and their actions would not be accepted on the mean streets so why should we accept it here.

accountability

In my neighborhood they would get taken out to the alley for a good talkin' to.

But here they are defended by groupee types....LOL
I am grateful for the info, in fact I find it interesting how upset people get when the truth is revealed. I am amazed at how hard some people come down on others when they present the eye opening facts, yet huddle together and seek solace when it does not mesh with their perception of reality. More so, the fact that a company, ANY company that would practice deception towards anyone, would make anyone angry. It is the principle, yet, others are like oh well, we are being lied to and it is okay, they let it happen, and those that let it happen tend to be just as guilty. With that said, stating an intent in most countries is enough as the action itself. I love growing and smoking. I like to know where my stuff comes from, that is why I do not like to deal with the "blackmarket" to buy weed, it is usually crap, it is usually pinched, and most importantly, I do not know who's pocket I am lining. I think anyone in their right mind would be pissed at being lied to and stole from. Keeping this post as well as others like this is a great way to keep the community informed and to protect ourselves as a community.

...all too true, but the problem with shaggy assigning blame and passing judgement is that shaggy isn't on the inside of any of these peeps heads and doesn't have any real knowledge of their original intent or who/when/why things turned in the wrong direction.:tiphat:

Look I appreciate where you are coming from, if you watch the video, you will find their statement of intent, will they follow through? I guess that is a good question, when someone threatened to kill me, I took them serious, usually nothing came of it. Still, when you counter your former statement, with a new statement, it is hard to believe them. This post is valuable to me only for the fact that if they would sell their customers out, what kind of product could I/we expect from them, and if I were to purchase from them whether the quality is good or horrid, I would be just as guilty as that company. I think if they are doing this, or even mulling the idea over, then compensation when the business starts, or it is a pipe dream and just blowing smoke. I am sure that most come to some conclusion, or something similar. To be a little more thoughtful, what will they do to our beloved plants, GMO, I understand that there are just somethings out there that need to be GMO, certain medicines, including some that my life depends on. Although the one statement that made me laugh is when Mowgli stated that Phylos would make a plant that would make all the stuff on the market defunct. There are just somethings you can not make better through easy means, there are no shortcuts, he challenged every breeder out there with his statement. So I am reliant on one constant, my principles.

But I already know the answer, so why ask right...

I know you’re trying to slam Giggles here...which means you’re not asking *me*...but I *did* read their stuff, and I *did* say out loud that the operation had “long con” all over it...and *then* their shit got exposed, so I could take credit I suppose - if I thought ‘credit’ mattered in this - I don’t think any of “us” deserve credit for bringing down Phylos...because they’re still going.

One thing I have *not* done is launch multiple threads about how right I was, and keep them updated with my ongoing sense of personal rightness and grievance, and my list of who hasn’t been yelled at enough.

Last comment: you’re “on the front lines” you say? Front lines of what? There’s no battle here, there’s no war going on. If there’s a front line, it’s providing sourced and accurate info about the downstream effects of the blowout - on Phylos, their buyout dreams, new players in the situation, how other “entities” respond.... THIS thread, in other words, which is now a conversation with a life of its own.

Not getting fooled again depends on wide-eyed accurate assessment, critical thinking skills, and being able to tell the the difference between being smart and being gullible - and between what happened and how one feels about what happened.

I am one hundred percent in favor of the folks feeling injured being able to vent and process their hurt, sense of betrayal, and anger - and that includes you, Shag, though I doubt you agree: my original, and only real, objection is to the practice of derailing *this* thread with it.

Yes, I know you started this thread, and the first 30-something pages are worth having, and I thank you for that. I know you started at least two other threads, and I appreciated what I thought would mean the sequestering of the emotional processing from a useful, informative ongoing discussion of the entire Phylos matter.

I have tried hard to make my meaning both plain and non-aggressive, I asked nice, I said please. I haven’t called you any names at all, not even in my head. Prior to this I’ve always had a friendly response to you, and I know we agree on some big things. I look forward to having a friendly response to you in the future.

Good post izzy, I've been doing some internet research on Kevin Jodrey going back to 2015 and no one has anything bad to say about him until recently (Phylos mess).

I did, however, find a VERY interesting (and readable) article from 8/17,
'The Great Pot Monopoly Mystery' inspired by Mowgli's fear of utility patents being acquired by a rival entity, BioTech Institute LLC.

This article gives a lot of intrigueing background info into the current high-$takes business of pot, looks bad.:tiphat:

I can not say I buy into this article. It is a stretch, I mean Montell Williams, laughs, I guess I could be running around LA looking for Jenny Jones in my Karate gee. Sounds more like rumor and conspiracy hunting. Do not get me wrong, it is nice to have perspective and to hear opinion, an article from GQ about cannabis seems like a filler article. I sincerely grateful for the heads up.

Thanks for that link, CG! :tiphat:

My knowledge of Kevin Jodrey is limited to an episode of the Shaping Fire podcast. He was talking mostly about his work on CBD content, but he waxed rapturous over something I’d never heard of: “predictive analysis”.

Listening to him explain how it works and how he uses it, I found myself thinking it was the biggest crock o’shit I’d ever heard. Probably didn’t make the best impression, but people speak well of him.

Kevin has been on IC for a long time, if you guys paid attention his user handle is not even exactly secret. I've not reached out to him over this because the whole world already has, but for the most part, he's been a great member of this very community for many years.

I'm flowering a Chem Sis x Topanga Pure Kush right now that only exists because he shared the PK clone...with someone 3k miles away.
