No worries, Cornport. You are entitled to that opinion.
1.What makes it fair, is that the community nominates and votes. It is not a sweepstakes, lottery, or contest who's winners are chosen by staff here.
2.I haven't won, nor have I been nominated with advertising pics of my strains. Most of the pictures I post are of other strains. So I am in no way advertising with them, I'm posting them for the same reasons as everyone else.
3.The nominations are open to all, there is no limit to nominations.
4.I always donate the prize when I win.
The reasons for the rules against Employees, vendors, and their subsidiaries, Is so that contest don't get fixxed.
I have no problems with any pic getting nominated, There are alot of members who put alot of time and effort into their photography, and anyone who does the work should be eligible for the community wide vote.

Point taken grateful head, yeah I guess it is much different than a sweepstakes or contest. Hope I didn't offend anyone, JUst was thinkin about it and wanted to put it "out" there.

As stated in the rules in post #1, the only ones not eligible are:
a. folks who nominate themselves; or,
b. Admin of this site.
It is clearly stated that Moderators are eligible, many times vendors have been nominated for their photographic skills as well.
All vendors, moderators, and members photo's are eligible.
You, the members, select the winner through voting.
Know you are all waiting for the June poll to go up and it will, just as soon as the finalists are selected, there were over 50 photos nominated and having to narrow it down takes a bit of time. My goal is to have the thread up tomorrow.
Enjoy your Sat. night everyone! If you haven't taken photos of your grow for awhile, light up a fatty, grab the camera, and take a few pics!

Admiral you do my friend bring up a very good point but as I said the winner is picked by US and we can nominate as many pics as we want so IMO that is what makes it ok to do.

well actually i guess youre right, its not like someone doesnt get nominated more than twice for movie awards. but isnt that a lil awkward given our situation? i loved the flo pics in last month nominations, but why would i nominate it, if it has already been nominated before. i think the whole point is to find new unique pics, not ones someone already seen. just a thought.
That's you though.. maybe someone else liked it.... the whole point to this contest is to recognize members' achievements.
