Phosphorus deficiency?

Yeah - new shoots all have green stems - some of yesterday's growth seems to have this discoloration issue - and I have some leaf curling, but she looks a lot happier in general.

dont focus too much on the already damaged, the plant knows it's energy is better used on new growth rather than to repair old. keep an eye out for more leaves getting it instead.

I dunno why everyone is saying to let dry out...I thought you weren't supposed to do that in organics...I think I remember reading that letting organic soil dry out too much can kill your bennies....

Not that I think it will be bad to dry out...especially being lite on the perlite...

I'm sure the HID will def help.....

What are you spraying on them?

OK - got a soil test-kit - ph is 6.5 (much better than I thought), N & P check out, but it appears I have virtually NO K (Potassium)... Not sure how that makes any sense for just one mineral to be depleted to hell. I'm gonna re-run a K soil test tomorrow - presuming it shows up low, Stitch's guide to sick plants suggests Fox Farms Grow Big, but their site lists the nutes on it as 6-4-4 - any thoughts anywhere anyone?

nigel, there is a fine difference when it comes to dried out and completely dehydrated. but you deffinately want them to dry out or atleast become light to pick up. not bone dry but about 60-70% lighter in weight than when flooded.

yo icredibowlboss. any purple stems? i notice with my girls at least that P and K defic usually show as a pair. add a tiny bit like 2 or 3 ml a gal of pk13/14 to the next water or two.

Yeah - definitely purp stems on older growth. Help me out here - what's PK 13/14?

K definiciency... and maybe a pH issue?

K definiciency... and maybe a pH issue?

OK - ran another soil test - shows a K deficiency, but N & P are ample. Soil pH came out at 7-7.5 - just fed & watered her - going in, water read 5.1, runoff read 5.2 (though, to be honest, I think my pH reader is badly calibrated, because I can't understand how distilled water (+worm castings & molasses) read 5.1 - then again, I guess molasses is slightly acidic, but 2.5 tbsp to 2.5 gal of water shouldn't affect the pH that much - should it?)
