What's new

Pheno hunting new hybrids and a few classics

Long time lurker here but just joined recently after taking interest in Ace's work.Trying to get geared up to find a few keepers to clone for next yrs outdoor season.

Current setup 2- 3x5 flower rooms each with 2x 400mh/hps 1 3x3 room with 400hps
And 1 2x3 with roughly 200w cfl for cloning/seedstarting
All will be grown in my own mixture of worm castings Coco chunks and pro mix BX

So ive made 3 seed orders so far for somewhere around 4-500 usd in total. 2 were direct and one through Herbie. The order made through H came in 5 days like always. Still waiting on the 2 coming direct. One sent standard mail 5 weeks ago im thinking is gone. The other sent registered mail 2 weeks ago im still holding out hope for!

Has anyone else had terrible experience w/ their shipping?

Strains im waiting on- malawi fem, OE fem, panama X new malawi, panamaXpurp pck, nep jam reg malawiXpck golden tiger reg and OE sativaX nepj indica

What i recieved from Herb- panama reg ,OE reg, malawi fem, zamhash fem and bangi haze fem.
The above goes into germination tonite and i will keep this thread updated.
Side note, why cant ace offer a guarentee or optional insurance in case of a lost package. Just seems like good buisness practice to me. Opinions?

Ace are 100% reliable, I've never had a problem with anything they have sent out. Get onto dubi if you are worried, they'll sort out any problems.
Takes about a week internal Europe postage so maybe a bit longer to the States.

Greetings gemuse and baron. I have been in contact w/ luis at ace about my concerns and now am just waiting on their 6 week max delivery time. After that, they will see what if anything they can do about the loss.
This is mostly my fault as i agreed to standard mail on their recomendation that it was faster, more discreet, and they had no issues w/ standard mail lately. Its really disappointing as my first order was the largest and had the strains i was most looking forward to working with.

THank you both for the advise though

Shame, hopefully everything will sort itself out.
If not, hurry up and get growing the others, I want to see your method and results :)

Welcome bandit60001,

Firstly, thanks for supporting our work. We are sorry to hear you are having delays to receive your ACE Seeds orders. Once the order left Spain, the delivery time and tracking is out of our hand and completely depends on the service of your national mail company.

For your privacy and to respect the spanish laws regarding purchase customers' info, please forward your order info to us through email: [email protected]

We cannot offer a guarantee shipping for certain countries unless you hire a special courier shipping service which is usually quite expensive.

Please, email us and we will do our best to sort out any problem.

Kind regards

Quick update:
1st order never showed up, 2nd one made it in abt 3 weeks. All seeds germed except 2 malawi fems. They were both very small dark seeds.
Ace is sending out replacements for the malawi fems and the entire 1st order.
I will update when/ if they show up and again when each strain goes to 12/12 with pictures.
A++ customer service Ace

I recieved replacements for the first order which was lost in the mail. Unfortunately all 6 malawi fems were smashed beyond recognition..sad . So from 9 seeds i ended up wth one plant, at least i know its a female! Very vigorous, even surpassing a couple hybrids in the same room. I'm still in veg, but already impressed!
Thanks dubi!

Sorry for the delay in the reply, looks like a calcium and boron deficiency, probably P and Manganese too.
I also see some white spots on the leaves .... did you find spider mites ? How is the ph of your growing media, waterings and feedings ?

It's a pitty because the plants were in excellent conditions in late March, especially the Malawi, she was looking very killer!

Yes it is spider mites. For the longest time i thought it was some type of nute problem. Unfortunately its too late into flower to use anything other than the softer organic remidies i've been using. It seems to somewhat keep them beat down.
Seems that they only like to attack fan leaves? Thus far, theyve left the flowers alone and i havnt found any webs on anything.
In a few weeks when this round finishes, everthing will be broken down and cleaned and all moms/ clones will be given a few rounds with miticides.

What i cant figure out is where i got them from? The wind lol?

They live in your garden, the hedge, grass, but do not get the ideal conditions for survival that indoor gives them, hence the plagues.

If you have nice Sativas you can simply wash(spray) them with plain water, but use a wand and spray upwards from beneath, it is amazing how many spidermites and eggs you get with just one application. Outdoors I have seen plants with well developed flowers take weeks of rain, only unhealthy or damaged parts get rot, the rest laughs it off more than most growers would believe.

Once a leaf gets to a certain point of infestation and/or poor health, it is often better to take it off, along with the 1,000,000,000 spider mite eggs stuck underneath it and get well rid of the rubbish before it hatches and finds its way back to the garden

This is my mpck, panama, and malawi all pretty close to the finish line, with malawi being the first done.Im really hoping my malawi is a lil stronger than the description for the fruity pheno. I was hoping for something overpowering.

OTOH the malawipck has already far exceeded any expectations already and i havnt even tried it yet.
