I would say, PH 5,5 is too low for this hybrid system. I would aim to 6. But what you do, seems working out good. All the plant (specially new growth) looks more green, and buds are "growing out the place". She may catch up that enormous plant from last year. Not so green yet, but buds are fattening pretty well. And at least it seems, you really gonna get those "autumn" colors you always wanted. Theese buds will look really nice dry and trimmed.

It's all about the proper camera lighting... lol

If you set white balance on your camera to the actual lighting, color temperature doesnt matter so much. CRI matter much more. Anyway, the 2700K and the 6500K bulbs would do better combined (kept close to each other). If I remember right, You have some E27 splitters.

By the way, if you add an RGB led light source (set to white) to standard white lighting, it can enhance colours very well on photos (a bit wider color space coverage, and more saturated colors).

I'm aiming for 6, but I poured it in at 5.51 less than 6 hours ago.
She didn't drink much since then.

This is the number now.

I PH'ED it down again and poured it back down the tube.

Yeah, she's scrubbing up against the walls. lol

She may catch up that enormous plant from last year.

Maybe I'll flower her for 200 days,..
She'll grow Huge Dreadlocks and Tons of Foxy tails,... lol

I wanna see reds, oranges, purples and blues... not burnt browns and sickly yellows. lol

I'm not looking forward to trimming it.
It feels like a chore..

My cat 🐈 jumps on my trimming tray and spills it all over the floor, and if I lock her in the bedroom she scratches the shit out of the door. lol

Good Idea 💡 !!

I rigged up something Narly !!

Something old-school, something new-school, and a couple of things from a decade ago !!!

I won't try it until tomorrow though.
I'm pretty damn wasted right now, and that 💡 in the middle is 100 actual Watts.

There may be melted plastic or even flames, and I may be too wasted to work the fire extinguisher. 🔥 lol

It's not so much the lighting...
My stupid camera doesn't have manual focus.

I want a scroll bar that I can move to pick my own damn focus.

All I can do with my stupid phone (Samsung A21) is pick the point on the picture for it to automatically focus itself on.

It pisses me off !!

I want to override my fricken auto focus.

I think working on a lower ppm in flowering, and/or to cut the feeding in the last 1-2 weeks can help about that. Specially phosphorous deficiency can let the plant go reddish. I think, in most cases you finish more like nut burnt.

I would not use that "Edison Bulb" in that fixture. The heat it produces (about 90W of 100) may damage, or kill all the other bulbs, or the splitter.

If I would go for picture of the month, I would use my RGB reflector for sure. I think you should consider at least a cheap 20w RGB reflector. You might be surprised, how much more colorful pictures you can make with it. "Naturally" vibrant, not like after worked in PS os something.

About the focus, I can understand the pain. I had VHS camera in my childhood, and I have 3 old compact cameras, but not any of them let me handle focus really manually. I would love a camera with mechanically adjustable focus. Btw I stil use one of the old compact cameras (a Canon Ixus 310 HS) for making photos of plants. I bought it used about 10 years ago, and can make a lot better pictures, than my Note8. I can adjust ISO, exposure time, white balance, and a lot of things, not like on phone. And of course, it has much bigger sensor than a phone, so even in full auto mode, it can make way better pictures. Those old compact cameras must be very cheap on used market nowadays, so this is another option, what may worth to be considered, i think.

Yeah,.. You're right.

I replaced the "Edison Bulb" with more efficient bulbs...💡 lol

I've got lots of light now !!!, but I can only use it for short bursts, because I think that I might be overpowered ??
lol 😁

Maan this splitter in a splitter configuration made me laugh on a very tired, fussy day. Approved for 40W and you hack about 100W of different bulbs on it. What could possibly go wrong? :D

I liked reading through your posts, I really like the idea of 360 degree light from top to bottom, it's like an all around scrog, like a souped up phototron. The plant your growing, you refer to it as the plant. It looks very sativa ish, what is it?

The seed is planted.
We'll see how long it takes to break the surface.
It's pretty chilly on the window sill, so things will probably be pretty slow ?

How chilly is chilly? I've had problems getting seed to sprout at all at below 25C... (I know you waited for this one to pop her nose before putting into the medium, but still... I would keep her warm till she emerges.)

PS - your current plant is looking killer! 😍 Happy New Year!

It was about 17°C, so I decided to dig her up and check on her. Lol

She is still growing, but kinda slow.

I decided to rearrange my light to give her some more heat...
I'm sure some of the heat should radiate down to the seed ?

Thanks alice. :thank you:

The closet plant is doing OK.
I know it could be better, but I know know what to do next time.

I'll just have to watch my PH...
