I know that my plant can go either way, but I'm liking the way that it's going !!

I've got a few orange hairs showing, so she must be closing in on finishing.

I guess that means that she's not going to fill in too much more ??

It's only on the buds on the lowest branches, which is the opposite of what I've had before.
It used to be the upper buds that finished first.

Perhaps being as those lower branchs are purple, those branches went into chlorosis and necrosis and the buds are finishing up sooner ??

Perhaps this time you've got a shit load of side lights on it. lol

You might expect to wach the buds towering for a looong time, just keep caring it, looks great so far in my opinion.

...I guess she could still have a lot of filling in to do ?...
Of course she has silly, what anyone is not telling you is that you're actually pioneering in here with your experiments and I for sure am learning from that.
I remember everybody telling me that if you have a single beam of light bothering the flowering plant while sleeping it will hermie on you or throw her out of flowering or some shit..
Then I saw the guy who flowered and vegged in the same time a single plant in separate rooms, just passing the branches thru some holes in the wall.
It did not hermied, nor got thrown out of flowering even if had the same root, vegging and flowering branches being from the same plant.
That's pioneering right there! :tiphat:
Boy, I gotta stop smoking so much for an hor or two so I can look out and give some shoutouts to this guy and a couple of other personal heroes. (I think it was ScrogMonster, just not sure yet..)
Might be an old trick, but I got from you the side light (punctured sil) and managed to raise beautiful strong compact midgets which are a delight for a microgrower like myself.
About the filling in, here's my experience with an autoflower; I grew Mini Mango (currently late outdoor in the progress) and the specs said 8 to 9 weeks flowering.
I kept one flowering for 12 weeks and I had to stop just 'cause I defoliated her in week 2 of flower and it started to eat it's own bud by the middle of 12th week, but it was keep towering and gave me almost double bud than a "twin" sister of her's (similar in size and structure to the mm). That was a 400w hps +120w cfl grow.
Another thing about it: I took (around week 5) a popcorn bud the size of pinky nail just to sample it, and the correspondent tiny popcorn bud grew to be over 12 grams wet (3.4g dry) with the towering.
So if you keep up the good work I'm sure you'll reach the 450g target if not over.
Of course not all strains are reacting the same to certain treatments or enviromental factors, but so far it looks like you have a pretty stable girl so just keep grow it, see what happends. :jump:

Of course she has silly,

The sad thing is that I've seen and done all this before.
I don't remember shit. lol
And now I can't figure out how to search my thread for reference.
It took me almost 2 hours to find that picture of the sunburnt branches.
I suck at technology.

Well, thanks piramidon. :thank you:

I like trying new things to see what happens.

So, now I'm a fan of LED lighting, Coco Coir, soil mites, and SIP containers.
That has all worked out great for me.
It's KISS and I can LIFTA. (but I'm not gonna stop messing with stuff. Lol)

Yeah, that was ScrogMonster.

I loved that thread.

It's too bad that his grow got infested with bugs.

I believe that he has started over though.

Cool !!
I remember trying to convince everyone on the SIL thread to install side lights. Lol

Well, I'm certainly going to give it a try.
The work is easy,.. 1/2 tsp of Maxibloom, 1/2 tsp of Potassium Silicate, 1/2 tsp CalMag, 2 liters of tap water. Water it daily.
It's drinking almost 2 liters a day now.

I remember growing an autoflower for 16 weeks.
It just kept throwing out foxtails and got bigger and bigger.

My plant is only 7 1/2 weeks old right now, so I've got at least 2 1/2 weeks left.

I'll take it to 16 weeks again if it seems to be working.

I don't believe that a plant turns foul (CBN or whatever) if you take it longer than they say.
I like a ripe plant.
I'm in no rush to finish this plant.

Of course not all strains are reacting the same to certain treatments or enviromental factors,

My problem now is that I've got the same strain reacting differently with what I thought was the same treatment and environment?

But thats fine.
It keeps me thinking and learning new stuff.
I know what to do differently for my next plant.

Unless of course, I do end up with a one pound plant, then I'll do exactly the same thing next time, and broil its leaves off. Lol

but so far it looks like you have a pretty stable girl so just keep grow it, see what happends. :jump:

I will.

She is looking good.

This is what I did.

No side lights.
Just the ceiling strips turned down below test current.

I'm going to do that again.
It worked before.

It only took me an hour and a half to find all this !!
I feel quite proud of myself.

I feel technologically advanced now. Lol

It's quite versatile too.
I can screw in one or two bulbs depending on the heat requirements.

I can use 40, 60 or 100 Watt bulbs.
I can adjust my heat from 40 to 200 Watts.

The bulbs are getting harder to find, but I can still buy them at the dollar store.

I've still got a bunch of CFL's too...

Brand new in the package.

I'm going to hold on to them.
They aren't available anymore.
They might be worth Hundreds $ in a few years. Lol

This month the UK stopped halogens. A decision made while in the EU. We have not stopped cfl's but they can't be used in new builds. LED is king now.

We still have fire glow lamps. That 80s junk that turns fans in plastic boxes shaped like.. well nothing really. There are exceptions for incandescents, like rough service lamps. Reptile lamps made of ceramic to just perform as heaters are getting common. They have a terrible failure rate though. I tried just one. It lasted a few minutes. The reviews are true..

I've never heard of those.
I had to Google it.

I hope they don't get rid of lava lamps.
Those things are cool !!
I could get stoned and stare at one for hours. Lol

This was a popular fire on trailer parks and in homes without gas. The lamps were at the back, and heat from them turned fans for an authentic? log fire appearance. People actually bought into this. You usually waited a few minutes till they got moving, and they got progressively faster as it warmed. This was middle class stuff. Holiday rentals. The gas fire version looked little different.

Truly hideous. As a young child I found people buying this tasteless crap hard to fathom. Finding it it wonderful stone fireplaces. Ghastly.

I know someone with projector slides from the 70s. Proper lava one's. They cast that effect on the walls. Like the lamps, they take a bit of getting going. A must for 70s parties though. Sadly.. illegal I think now.

My parents bought into it.
We had one of these. Lol

We had the extra tall flue like this one though.
Way more realistic. Lol

I thought the thing was stupid, and it wasn't even a heater.
I was quite curious as to how it worked though, and had to take it apart to investigate.

It had an ordinary incandescent bulb and a sheet of colored plastic around it that was in a loop on a drum. The drum was driven by a small electric motor.

Speaking of tasteless crap,...
My mom had one of these... lol

(the website is called historys dumpster. Lol)

I ended up fixing that stupid thing about half a dozen times.

It used mineral oil that was pumped up from the bottom and would drip down the fishing line.
The oil would collect dust and clog up the tubing, and the oil would get old and thick and wouldn't flow.
Then the plastic tube that fed the oil up, broke at the connection, so I had to cut 1/4" off the end and reattach it.

I had to Google that..

My dad had the carousel type and 1000's of slides.

I don't know what a lava one is ??
