Diary PCBuds mini-grow

Five 10 Watt bulbs.

50 grams max for both plants for me.

I can't wait to fire up a Reiko in my closet with 300 Watts.

My closet plant is doing well.
She's almost 35" tall now, and I think she's finishing up her stretch.

I've removed quite a few leaves, but she has lots left.

This is a post from another thread.

Btw pcbuds, i was thinking when in the other day you said to me that you didnt want, or interested in the cost of having the better environment you can for them and run them on the cold side, and remember you said you get 0.75 or 0.85 gr/w..maybe investing in the environment is where your gr/w missing is?

I took your advice (as well as other's advice, ) and plugged in my heater.
(the light fixture that I had screwed to the floor only lasted a day. It just felt wrong and maybe dangerous?)

I unplugged my "exhaust" fan which saves me 60 Watts and will help me keep the heat in the closet.

I did a smoke test on the closet and I still have airflow out of the top.

I have a bucket of wine bubbling off CO2 so I should be OK with the CO2 levels.
(but I'm not sure. My CO2 meter is a piece of crap. Lol)

My ladybug is still hanging around.
I think that's good luck?

(I wonder if she's hungry? Maybe I should bring in some spider mites for her to feed on? Lol)

I also turned down my furnace to 65° which will save me on energy costs, and both I and my cat are more comfortable in cooler temperatures.

I also have an "ultrasonic humidifier" that I will consider plugging in, but I don't want to invite any mold.

I dunno?

PS... Feel free to post any suggestions or observations you have on my thread.

You've done all the homework that I never did, and I want to copy your notes. Lol

:biglaugh: if there's no problem don't go creating one. Turning off air circulation is a good way to get mold

Noted.

It's not that I think I had a problem with my plant, but I think I had a problem with my math.

I may actually be saving money on utilities with my furnace turned down, my light timing reduced from 20/4 to 17/7, and my fan unplugged.

And I may even end up with better quality buds and possibly even bigger ones?

I don't think it's too late to warm things up.
It may actually be perfect timing with her going into flower now?

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I'm just winging it. Lol

I decided to move my fan back to its original position.
The fan blades were kinda precariously positioned.
There is still plenty of room for air to get past the blades and the CO2 vent from my second bucket of wine is closer to the intake now.

O yeah it's fine, just saying, things will optimize as you hone in on 82 F.

Okay, I'm going to aim for 82° F.
I want optimum.

I don't remember what that is because my meters are metric.
I converted to it...

I like all the sevens, I think it's good luck?

For me that can mean I could close a door, use less air/extraction, stuff like that.

For me, that means leave the damn door shut and stop sending all of my heat into the room behind me. Lol
I open the damn door about 30 times a day.

I'll open it one more time for a picture... Lol

I'll warm her up a bit more tomorrow when I'm not so damn drunk. Lol

Meanwhile, I'll try to keep an eye on her...

I decided to plug my exhaust fan back in for fear of mold.

I've got a Wattmeter that shows the total kW/hrs used over time so I'll run it for a day to see how much the heater is using and how much it will cost me to run it.
It uses 800 Watts when it's on.

The heater is being a PITA.
I've got it set to use its thermostat but the temperature is ranging between 21°C and 27°C.

I'll see if I can get it dialed in better somehow.

My heater is messed up.
The closet rose to 34°C and it didn't shut off, so I unplugged it.
The temperature fluctuations probably aren't good for my plant and it's not good for my wine either.

I'm going to buy a new heater.
There is one on sale at my local hardware store for $15. I'll pick one up tomorrow.

Good luck getting the temps stabilised - hopefully a bit of fluctuation wont hurt them. Plants are looking fine - nice and greasy. Whats the genetics of the Reiko?
