i had a friend that was born on 4th of july and was named liberty, also happened to be her parent's first summer in the US... she's still trying to get her name changed, even though her parents "changed" it a long time ago...

btw, they named her that cause she was their anchor... her mom came on a yola(shanty boat) from the dominican republic whilst pregnant and she and my friends dad were arrested along with the others when they landed, but the cops that arrested them felt sorry and let em go...

In the book Freakanomics, there was a story about parents that named there sons winner and loser.

Winner became a standard piece of shit criminal with a conviction list longer than my arm.

Loser became a well respected member of his local community.

I still don't understand why parents would do something like that to their kid.

This reminds me of that saying "you need a license to drive a car, but any asshole can become a parent"
