Panop '09: Back Inaction (Mandala Satori & Kalichakra, Nirvana Ice, CH9 Hashplant)

Thanks, man.

Mandala does put out some very sexy genetics, but I'd also recommend you looking into CH9's beans as well. His buds are the fattest by far out of the strains I'm running. (Pics 1, 6, 7, 8, & 10.)

I've got four more strains of his that I can't wait to pop...

Thanks for pointing that out. Won't be long before I run through the one's I have and I'll definitely add some CH9. Looking at their list, that CH9 Aroma stands out right now, but several look good including their Hazes. Good tip, thanks.

Just check the flower times listed for each strain. They will pack on big time in the last few weeks. A good week long flush before harvest and you're good.

FunkBomb brings up a good point. I rarely take the breeder's flowering time into consideration as I usually just wait for the trichomes to amber. For the sake of discussion (and for those who are wondering) the breeder's listed flowering times for my current strains are as follows...

Hashplant: 8 weeks (56 days)
Kalichakra: 9-10 weeks (63-68 days)
Satori: 9-10 weeks (65-70 days)
Ice: 8 weeks (56 days)

Today marks day 40, a little over 5.5 weeks.

The buds are fattening, some fan leaves are starting to yellow. Trichomes production has increased and so has the stank. A number of my plants are starting to lean due to their top-heaviness. I've inserted wooden skewers around the stems of said plants and used velcro to hold 'em up.

I've taken a few shots through a 30x loupe so you can get a better idea as to how the trichomes are looking...

Nice looking plants and swelling buds. The schnozberries do in fact taste like schnozberries.

lol... I often take offense to being sold bumblemelons and other imposters as well.

Looks like you may have your soil issues worked out. Looking good!

Smells...

like sweetness. They all sort of blend together, but there definitely is a strong skunk undercurrent. Thank Jebus for my Can 33 filter.

I didn't cut the lower growth this time around since I plan on making honey oil with the microbuds and sweet leaves, so I'll give 'em a squish right now.

Hashplant has a middle-ground half-sweet/half-stank smell, while Ice has a light, bright and dry (think white wine) fuel scent. Satori smells awesome. It has the same light, bright fuel smell as the Ice, but it has a sweeter floral/fruity thing going on. The Kalichakra is very similar to the Satori, but is less pungent overall. By half, I'd guess.

No top buds were harmed in the making of this post. But I did vape part of a microbud. It was awesome.

Week 6.5 flower

It's week 6.5 of flower and I've started flushing the Ice and Hashplants.

I watered them today, adding only 1 tsp of molasses per gallon.
I can tell they are on the downhill slide due to the excessive yellowing of the fan leaves. I figure they'll go 8.5 weeks and then they'll get the chop.

The Satori and Kalichakra got some feeding as well. They're still getting the regular treatment:
1 tsp molasses
1 tsp Floranova Bloom
2 tsp Liquid Karma
1 tsp Cal-Mag

So, check out this Ice plant's most recent little trick...

Purple! Neat.

My temps are 72° F at lights on and mid-60's° F at lights off, so I guess it's just genetic.

This same plant topped itself earlier during veg, and has since bushed out.
Little lady has a mind of her own...

Killin it as usual Panop!

Nice. Thanks man.
