Is it possible to distinguish the two phenos by early growth style?

Is it possible to distinguish the two phenos by early growth style?

I've sexed two grown from seed but not long enough to see any real color in the pistils (I yanked them back to veg just as soon as a pocket microscope revealed the sex) now they are back to veg for modular scrogs but one seems prone to grow taller than the other under identical conditions.

It's said the red pheno is bushier, can this be indicative at just a month or so old or is it just too soon? (I'm excited at the prospect of two females and both phenos in just my first two seeds.)

The Panama seems to dominate the crosses so far. It has the same colors, and the same terpenes. nodes are closer now and the buds are longer.

Both affgooey and the chem og would be good, then put it to an OG dad again and you will probably have an elite.
I have Headband and a couple OG fire cuts to mix with. Ill probably do the same

Thats wuts up, thats how the one seed of panamaXsd was I grew out. turned out to be a herm but it had the smell and look of the panama.

no clue when they plan to finish...but they are doing a little serious stacking right now

They went out in July. Hard to say when they actually started flowering...they kinda start in Aug but not really. Would not surprise me if it goes until Thanksgiving.

Indoors this one is done in 11-12 weeks. I turn the lights off for 36 hours and that kicks them into flower for real and then after 9 wks or so I start cutting the light cycle back finishing at 10 hours on.

Im late to the party, but just got a pack of Panama. I was lucky enough to get 11 seeds in my pack :jump:

Going to get some started soon, I cant wait to smoke some panama :joint:

I've been looking for some new flavors, I think this will fit the bill perfectly. This thread is great, so many nice pictures.

Maybe two and half to three weeks to go?Fills the area around her with a lemony scent that is just lovely.Dense and surprisingly large thick solid colas forming up. Might be the most impressive plant I have seen.Pictures or at least my crappy photo skills do not do this gal justice.Still packing on the weight and she is already has thick colas covered with trich's,just lovely.

Classic panama indoor flowers :smoke: You are doing a great job with her! Yep, i think 2-3 weeks to fully mature (if you like sativas quite ripe), yield and resin content should be very high at the end.

Edit:Wanted to get these up,busy as heck.Really impressed with how dense these long colas are, love the lemony smell, its wonderful.I have one ready to come down in about a week, with another a week behind that. Then I have one that at 70 days looks to have another 4 weeks or so to finish. Will get pics of the other three up soon.At about 6 weeks or so the Panama's were transplanted into 3 gallon pots. The first three all exploded in size of buds/colas,the long pheno stretched three to four inches above where the tops of the colas were forming. The long pheno is maybe twice the size of this plant and if it continues to fill out it will be crazy big. This is a remarkable plant and strain, stunning to take a Central American tropical and work it so that its very reasonable indoors. Most later on...

Very nice C.U.F and YosemiteSam!
What do you feed your panamas Charlie? In flowering time?
This is my Panama no2 coming up nicely, been in flower about 1 month? If I remember correctly?
Cannopy is funny, goes bowlshape in its own...I didn't cut or shape it any way, it's done it on it's own, and branches nicely, when put to flower.

Hello Scai my friend,I would say what ever you are feeding keep it up as your gals look fabulous.

I feed a guano tea mix, recipe 3# https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=53792&page=15 I also use soil mix 2# but I use 4 parts perlite to 6 parts Pro Mix as I feel these Sativas do better with a bit more/better drainage,I have also thought about adding rice hulls to help aerate the soil mix better. All of this is with a limited experience both in organics and working with these Panamas.Keep up the great work Brother,be well and safe my friend, all my best :tiphat:

I use bat guano tea too. Horse manure tea, mychoriza, peat and soil, sphagnum, seaweed, humic, fulvic acids...Sometimes something ordinary multipurpose fertilisers..
Should keep diary what and when I give them....now I go with the feeling ;) *o poor darling, you look so grumpy, let's give you some seeweed" ;)
Very nice panamas everyone.
Let's keep them rocking ;)

Found something weird on my first Panama seedlings first cutting. All the nodes have a weird bulbous blob on them as in the picture. Is this a Panama trait or a mutation or something more sinister?:

.

It looks and feels totally natural like it's meant to grow that way and I've seen something similar on other types of plants before, just not on a cannabis plant.

It's perfectly normal.Only a thickening of a node.

Sweet! Thanks guys. My other Panama is now doing it as well. I don't know why I never saw this particular aspect of a cannabis plant before. I've looked at pictures of thousands and grown out untold varieties from all over the world. I wonder how common a trait it is?
