What can I say - she's really coming along. (I note that I have also posted in the CBG board as the genetics are the same...props to both breeders!!!) This is one beautiful strain. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking 'em.
Is it okay to save seed from Panama? In other words, does it breed true for enough traits for it to be worthwhile, or are most of the traits heterozygous, meaning the progeny of an F2 cross would be like licorice allsorts?
The reason I ask is because I'd love to try using panama for a breeding project but don't know whether I have to spend lots of time inbreed it first.
Lastly, can anyone tell me the estimated flowering time of the purple haze x panama cross that I'm currently growing? Thanks.
Hola dubi!! Thanks! She is really quite remarkable. She comes from a fem pack and has an intense lemon-mint scent that is quite beautiful. She is encrusted with resin and it looks like she ain't shootin' pistils out like she was. She's at 77 days under 12/12. I'm hoping to take her at least another week, as long as things hold steady - no mold, no revegging. Her trichs are primarily cloudy, which is fine with me. I wouldn't mind a light sprinkling of amber for a little bit of gravitas but I ain't an amber freak - particularly with sativas.
BTW, I have no idea whether she is a pink or green pheno. I'm figuring green (coz I don't see no pink") but on the other hand, I have read that pink doesn't necessarily show up well indoors. One of the posts I read said that the intense mint is associated with the pink pheno. I figure it ain't gonna make too much of a difference but I understand one pheno may go longer than the other.
All of her branches have flopped over and the kola sways dangerously in the breeze. She's foxtailing mightily. Is this a variety that tends to start revegging spontanesouly?
Hey dubi...by the time you read this, Spannabis will be a memory...And so - in honor of that great occasion - I give you the late, great Spannama...Yep. Ms Panama is down at day 85. Kinda sad as we have been through so much together. Can't wait to meet her again after the Great Metamorphosis!
Her scent is heavy, sharp citrus with some mint/menthol and some dark musk undertone.
Here's some pics from the day of harvest...]
