Panama x Bangi Haze

here's some pics of my first Panama x Bangi Haze run. 2/2 seeds sprouted in 20h as usual as i would say, with Ace seeds!

Just reached the 4 week mark with the Pangis. Plants are showing slight tip burn so I will slow down on the nutes for now. Smells are quite similar from one plant to another, incense/pencil shavings/lemon with one plant having a menthol backend to it. One pheno is pushing some pinkish pistils which is always nice to look at. Resin is starting to get pretty sticky and tacky. I'm looking forward to seeing them pack on some weight in the upcoming weeks. Temps have been on the colder side here since beginning on flowering, around 20-22°C so that may hinder their development but we shall see.

Hey boo beats. Nice looking plants.

I noticed similar things in flower. I found that the smell and taste really come out and change during the first few months of cure. All three of my plants have different highs and smells now. The terps you described stay at the forefront but there’s a lot of different secondary smells/taste I’m finding. My PBH03 pheno has an awesome/onion haze taste that I’ve only had in my longest flowering Green Honduras Haze and similar trippy effects. Pretty cool for a moderate flowering sativa. The shorter flowering pheno has a rootbeer/cola taste and very clear and happy high. I smoked it and went to see Dune 2 in the theater and was flying. After the movie, 3 hours later I was crystal clear and forgot I smoked. The 03 pheno is like Malawi where I’m high and toasted for hours and wouldn’t want to operate any machinery. No ceiling on either of them too. Good luck finishing things up.

PBH01(first to finish)
At the moment this one is my favourite. It yielded a bit less and has a bit more leaf ratio than the other two.

Effect and taste are really good on this one. Also the smell is more complex and up my alley. When you crack the jar you get the lemon woody incense thing that is present in all the phenos but this one has a bright coffee and slight gas smell that the other two don’t.

The classic citric hazey incense comes through in the taste and halfway through the joint you get this awesome liquorice/chinotto (cola/rootbeer/Italian brio soda) taste that is quite full. The smoke is very smooth with a dry cool rich texture.

The effect is super clean, soaring, and gives you the perma-smile thing where you feel like you’re high in highschool trying not to laugh. Really hard to keep the giggles at bay. I’ve had similar effects with Green Mountain Mexican hybrids although they are a bit more blissful where this is more exciting like you’re about to go over a hill on a rollercoaster. The best thing is that even though you are this high flying you don’t lose your words. You can hold a conversation and there is no intoxication/sloppiness. The opposite of the other two phenos. It also make your feel really good about yourself and the world similar to low dose mushrooms. Really confident with that “all is right in the world”feeling. A special treat in a world with so many issues.

PBH02 (longest flowering)
This pheno has lots of lemon and incense aroma and comes through in the taste fairly well. It has more columbian green onion/cedar similar to some Green Honduras Haze phenos I’ve had but those notes are most aroma not taste. It’s a sweeter smoke and very dry (less creamy/full than PBH01)

The effect is quite potent and dreamy. I haven’t tried Panama on it’s own (I have some seeds) but I think this pheno matches the Panama effect’s description. It’s similar to malawi where after a couple hits your mind is all over the place. I can’t finish words let alone sentences. Extremely fun and engaging but not really social. This would be amazing smoke if you had a bad day and want to get rid of invasive thoughts and go to a happy psychedelic space. No paranoia.

PBH03 (finished between 01 and 02)
Very similar to pbh02 with less of the green onion note. The most incensed of the group. The high is very similar to 02. I think that 02 and 03 could use more jar time before I can give an accurate response. I feel like they are still developing so I’ll check back down the road.

I just grabbed a pack of regs. This is one of my fav aces strains so far and will be worth hunting a male down the road for further explorations.

Awesome work as usual Dubi. Glad these gals are big yielders because I know what jars I’m reaching for.

Thanks for your feedback on each female after 1 month of curing. Harvest will continue improving at least for 1-2 months more ... really happy they are potent, terpy and effects of your taste :) enjoy, you deserve it!

Hi @BooBeats, looking good there close to mid-flowering :) Glad you got plenty of females this time and that the smells are uniform and as described for the strain, also in the regular version.

Try to increase temperatures between 24-27ºC when the lamp is on, and 20-22ºC when lights are off, certainly not lower than 20ºC. It will help plants to increase yield and metabolism, being more efficient with nutrient intake.

Yeah, I saw that one with a slight pinkish tint :D Outdoors, she will show it in a much stronger way.

Pangi #2 @ 45 days flo flip 11/13 EC @ 1.8 shelved living soil pH around 6.2, lots of hungry angry red worms, 90% home made compost living soil mixed with 10% blond and brown peat moss mix.
strong and deep musky encensey smell, glistenin and oozin' resin's like a crazy mad champion!

A few months of cure and I’m finding the potency is up. Always nice when that happens with these nlds.

The early finishing pheno is still very focused and clear and up with a long lasting relaxed high (mind not so much body). Perfect all day weed. No crash. It has a solid 30min dreamy creative blast at the beginning. I get a rush of ideas/thoughts but can mostly retain an idea during conversation. Smells citric with tons or loud incense and I’m so glad the rootbeer/Brio soda taste is there and fairly strong for the first half of the joint. Lovely.

The longer flowering phenos (the one in the pic is PBH02) are more dreamy/soaring. Really creative but it’s hard to hold a thought. Similar to Super Malawi Haze but a bit kinder. It smells almost identical to Green Honduras Haze with the onion/herbal haze smell. Still has the incense just not as forward compared to the earlier pheno. Potency is higher and it lasts a little longer but there is a bit of brain fatigue I’ve had with Malawi. I also get some ear ringing for the first few minutes. Both phenos make things look brighter and colours pop like super Malawi haze.

I picked up a few packs of regular seeds and look forward to doing more of a deep dive into these down the road.

Thanks to you for expand your thoughts about the qualities of the smoke of this strain after a bit more of curing @Greencedar buds look dynamite with the right potency, effects and terps. Touching to know you got motivated to explore the regular version of the strain after this experience :)

Still loving the Bangihaze for some easy energy.
Find it's also great mixed with some heartwarming herb.

And I found a seedbank that still has fems available, ordered a five pack 🥳

My plan is to always have some BH in my stash.
