smoke is strong, so I am very slow at harvesting all these seeds^^

@El Timbo we never did a Bangi Haze x PCK cross, but sounds good and i'm sure will produce an interesting, mold and cold resistant sativa/indica hybrid.

Really healthy and neat growth on your PCK group @revegeta666 (y)

Congrats on your PCK harvest and seed repro @Hmong curious to know more about the phenotypes that stood out from the group.

thank you, @dubi
the genetics are from a good source afterall ;)
reproducing them was a delight.

curious to know more about the phenotypes that stood out from the group.

as you know, it's always the green ones^^
I'll try to add some more pics when I got time to crop, for now one of them is shown above. (#7)
Nr #7 & #18 stood out, good potential for yield, amazing terps and resin quality.
I judge my keepers by intensity of smell and how the resin feels between fingers, when handling them throughout the grow.

out of 7 females, 4 were green and 3 purple.
smoking through all these jars to get to the seeds is a hard task for me alone, as they are surprisingly potent. I can manage one good night spliff every day, as it usually puts me too sleep, often half way.

most memorable though, was the frosty male #8
which didn't produce any pollen, but some mild day smoke.
It has the green PCK apple bubblegum type smell and some decent % THC judging from it's effect

pics soon, just noticed I forgot my phone cable at another place

yes, it was sterile
earlier in this thread, there are pics of it in flowering

I would try to reveg it and keep it as an oddity.

ahh, I constantly come across frosty males
with the kind of operation I am running, I don't have time to play around with dead ends.
After thousands of plants going trough your own hands, you have seen everything.

I would love it if I got a male like that.
flower them longer under real light, just like females.
you will come across frost more often
It starts after 4 weeks of flowering, and most people have killed em by then.

Oh I wasn't surprised by the resin sorry, I meant a frosty male that doesn't drop pollen lol. Wouldn't you say that's an oddity, no matter how many thousands of seeds you are using?

It pleases me quite a bit to see how many marvellous males keep popping up in this line, but I'm also directly proportional embittered by how many of them turn out to be sterile :(

Did you try to smoke/vape or to sift that male? For science, of course.

Talking about PCK, I'm happy with the one female I got this year. She's endured an awful September and ended up way more potent than last year's PCK. A detailed smoke report is to follow, but I can't resist posting a little spoiler:

Have fun with all your PCKs

Wow @Hmong  that resinous male is something else! Was it a shemale or a true male ?

Pooneil found a very nice green PCK female (potent, resinous and high yielding) and some ok colorful pink-purple PCK females along with a Purple PCK male he used, so if you got the pure PCK seeds from him it's normal you like the most the green expressions coming from his seeds. Overall in PCK strain, green phenos are stronger and better yielding than the strictly colorful expressions, and the fruity side of the green expressions is reminiscent of pear and apples, hashy too.

Glad you are finding your new PCK plants more potent than expected and than previous PCK plants you grew ;)

Was it a shemale or a true male ?

turned shemale towards the end, after 7weeks of flowering outdoors on a balcony.
held firm for very long but then made a single hair at the top.
that's when I removed it, also most sacks turned brown and fell off, making a mess.
never got any pollen off it.

@Hmong some more feminine sexually hormoned hermie males can show very nice trichome production.
Glad you also commented about the size on pure PCK seeds. The green phenos usually produce bigger, seeds lightr in color, while the very colorful phenos usually produce black medium sized seeds.

Looking very healthy and well developed for being sown outdoors in autumn @El Timbo (y)

I've also observed that, as very rarely there have been frosty individuals without any pistils at some point.

about the seeds, thanks for confirming my observations
also noticed that the greens make bigger and light brown seeds with nice marbling, while the pinks make smaller black seeds with a very glossy surface.
having each pheno a different jar, you can tell

first I was worried that the open pollination didn't work proper and everything might have been hit with the first male shaken, but I can now see in the offspring that there are various kinds of seeds with hybrids towards the other side, like big black ones from green buds, or smaller light brown with one half marble one half dark, coming out of purple buds.

Hi guys! I finally switched the females to flower yesterday. The PCKs are unwilling to branch out and I didn't top them to not delay them any further. So I got a sea of sticks as my friend says 🤣 I kept 11 of them.

The males have been flowering in my office for 10-12 days now. I kept 8 of them.

it's ok, they don't like the topping anyway, takes long to recover.
I'd recommend shaving off all the undergrowth up to the middle, which will encourage more branching on top.
Thanks for the advice. I was waiting to shave the legs by day 15-20 like I usually do. Not really bothered by the plants not branching out as I don't think I will keep any plants with such low vigor long term. I am more looking forward for the results of the pollination of my clones. Oh and also have a nice PCK smoke in a few months 😃
