too busy, gotta make those car/condiminium/child support payments.
It’s all about the cash.
In this country it’s a blame game… they’ll look for anything… I tore my knee cartilage and was told that if I smoke it will make it worse (no joke)

Now after two arthroscopies i have basically no cartilage left in the knee (like a small scrap of ragged carpet they said) but no help offered- get on with it.

I’m so glad I smoke weed, it doesn’t seem to kill the pain but makes it easier to deal with

we´ve talked a little about magnesium and I mentioned mag oil. I thought this info may be of interest:

Understanding the Benefits Transdermal Magnesium Therapy

If you’re looking for an effective and convenient way to ensure you meet your daily magnesium intake, understanding the benefits of transdermal magnesium therapy is a compelling option worth considering. Magnesium, a vital mineral for numerous bodily functions, can be absorbed through the skin, offering an alternative to traditional oral supplements. This innovative approach not only circumvents potential digestive issues but also allows for more efficient magnesium absorption, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a convenient and effective way to support their daily magnesium needs.

Why is Magnesium Important?

As the fourth most abundant mineral in our bodies, magnesium is an element we can’t live without. Thanks to its vital role as an enzyme cofactor, it regulates over 300 biochemical reactions and bodily processes, helping to support healthy heart function, relaxing muscles, producing cellular energy, protecting bone health and strengthening the nervous system.
Its ability to ease anxiety and improve sleep quality is one reason more and more of us are choosing to supplement magnesium. Magnesium can also provide more targeted relief from a range of common health concerns, from reducing the severity of premenstrual mood swings to enhancing topical wound healing, calming chronic pain, improving energy and endurance in athletes, and supporting cleansing and heavy metal detox. Sufficient magnesium is an essential pillar of good health…but what’s the most effective way to ensure we’re getting enough and dietary sources may be low due to soil depletion and modern farming practices? The answer may surprise you.

Transdermal Magnesium Therapy

Applying magnesium topically through the skin is an efficient way to rapidly boost the body’s cellular magnesium levels. This is known as Transdermal Magnesium Therapy and involves applying a magnesium-rich lotion, oil, cream or body butter to the skin on a daily or nightly basis – in other words, swapping out your usual skincare product for one containing magnesium and using it the same way as you would your daily body moisturiser. It’s a simple solution with a myriad of potential health benefits.

Mood-Boosting Magic

Magnesium can assist in supporting mental health, and studies have revealed it can even reverse depression symptoms. Applying magnesium topically enhances its uplifting effect on the mind and mood by promoting self-care and turning daily magnesium supplementation into a calming ritual. Topical magnesium formulations often include nourishing ingredients that care for the skin, such as shea butter or sweet almond oil, which can improve the health and natural beauty of the skin, boosting an individual’s confidence in their appearance and enhancing overall well-being.

Happy Hearts

Magnesium is an essential mineral for cardiovascular health. It helps to regulate blood pressure, support healthy cholesterol balance and reduce the risk of atherosclerosis. Studies have shown that magnesium improves the overall functioning of the heart muscle, and higher blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of heart disease.

Ideal for Athletes

Magnesium is an excellent addition to any post-exercise regime, as its muscle-relaxant properties make it ideal for supporting recovery from light and intense exercise. Particularly when combined with cooling ingredients such as ginger, menthol and arnica, topical magnesium can bring rapid relief from any post-workout aches and pains and support tired muscles to rest and recover.

Soak The Day Away

A long soak in a bath containing magnesium flakes is a wonderfully relaxing way to meet your daily magnesium requirements. It is also ideal for helping children to relax and unwind before bedtime. Why not try it next time you need to wind down?

Say Goodbye to Side-Effects

What is fantastic about Transdermal Magnesium Therapy is that you have absolute control over the dosage regarding how much, how little or how often you apply. You can build your applications up in a way that is comfortable for you. Because it bypasses the digestive tract, topical magnesium eliminates the risk of any gastrointestinal discomfort or tummy upset that can sometimes be associated with oral forms of magnesium, such as tablets or capsules.

An Ancient Source

When choosing the best transdermal magnesium products for you, look out for ultra-pure formulations from a trusted and ancient natural source, such as the ancient Zechstein seabed. Some formulations will also include ingredients such as MSM to help enhance absorption of the magnesium so that the body better utilises it, so these are also a great choice.

Conclusion

Transdermal magnesium therapy presents a promising solution for individuals striving to maintain their daily magnesium requirements. Its unique ability to bypass digestive limitations and provide efficient absorption sets it apart from traditional supplementation methods. Whether you’re seeking to support muscle function, promote relaxation, or enhance overall well-being, this alternative approach to magnesium intake can play a valuable role in your daily health regimen. Embrace the benefits of transdermal magnesium therapy and experience the advantages of a more efficient and convenient path to meeting your magnesium needs.

Attention: Do NOT and I mean NEVER apply magnesium oil right after shaving, waxing, or even exfoliation or on any broken skin, wounds .
Why?
Because it burns and stings like HELL !
( I had to find out the hard/painful way because nobody had warned me )

I thought it was epsom salt which is Magnesium Sulfate. It´s a laxative and also used for making so called magnesium oil.
Or do they mix the mag into it in order to relax the colon a little bit? I have to go in for those check ups soon. I must remember to ask them about it (y)

But this said, too much of other magnesium types can also be too much to handle and can also make your run to the bathroom .
The magnesium I take is magnesium carbonate and citric acid with water creates ionic magnesium citrate.
It does help losen stools. Being on a morphine prescription this is not such a bad thing.

the issue I am dealing with currently is severe nerve damage at the incision site from liver cancer surgery...I saw the doc today and she wrote me a script for a ketamine based cream that is supposed to render aid...she told me not to lick my fingers...
I had a quick look on the net and it seems many people get relief from the ketamine based cream. Hope it works for you Boo.

Have any of you tried something called super blue stuff for pain relief? It was mentioned to me on another internet forum once many years ago.
I´ve never tried it myself but some people swear by it. It contains emu oil (which I have always only ever used neat on it´s own)

Yes, I try to eat some magnesium rich foods, like nuts, cashews and almonds. Peanut butter, spinach, avocados and salmon, etc. I eat these items on a fairly regular basis.

The main reason for my magnesium deficiency is medication. Since that is not going to change anytime soon my best bet is to get magnesium where I can get it.

One time when the doc wanted to give me cholesterol medication, I lowered it using food and have continued to do so for over the last 12 years or so.

I just had bloodwork done a few weeks ago and everything came back good, that makes me happy considering I'm 75.

I was sort referring about diet in general too. The secret to easy and healthy BM is simply to eat the right kinda foods (and drinks perhaps) .
The `secret´ is basically just to consume foods which contain water and fibre and ideally consumed at the right time of day. In other words - lots of fresh foods and veggies :)
Other gut friendly foods are oats, ripe bananas, cooked potatoes for instance. I´ve also noticed that bread, pasta or too much rice will have the oppostite effect - which really sucks imo :(

A mag deficiency will still need to be supplemented but perhaps it´s possible to reduce the amount so the laxative effect of the magnesium is not required anymore :)

I´ve been really interested in Hash Plant for a long time. It is also said to be great for pain relief .
But it also comes with a warning as it is suppose to be very strong and can make you paranoid. I´m not sure about consuming the oil (- as in without smoking).

BC Hash Plant Great For The Outdoors

BC Hash Plant was developed outdoors on Vancouver Island. She will produce over 5lbs of highly resinous buds per plant. Perfect for hash making or stashing gobs of potent sticky buds for the winter. The BC Hash Plant is one of the faster growing specimens thanks to hybrid vigor. Fast finishing with tons of resin and a pleasantly strong narcotic high. Very good pain relief for medical patients or just vegging out on the couch.

BC Hash Plant is a Highly Popular Strain

Feedback is always surprising. Most comments regard unexpected potency and yields. Experienced Dutch smokers even have trouble finishing a joint because of her overwhelming high therefore Hash plant smokers can become very paranoid.
Potent strain for potent pain relief.

Old Faithful Strain For Breeding Project

A nice strain to use for any breeding project. She’s stable and crosses well with Northern Lights, therefore you could easily make your own cup winning strain.

Sensi Seeds and a few others also offer Hash Plant seeds.

I got magnesium shots for a while to help ease the fibromyalgia. They injected so much that it felt like a golf ball until it absorbed. I take magnesium malate.
Just read that epsom baths have not been proven to work any better than a standard bath. They were testing the blood for magnesium, in that study.

for the first time in recent memory I awoke today with zero pain...worked the chainsaw and filled a trailer and still feel good...boy do I wish this would last...hope y'all find this feeling
I'm _so_ glad you found some relief!!! As I'm sure you've learned by now, you just have to take it a day at a time and cherish those fucking days that you feel like this. (y)

The only time I feel like that is those rare occasions when I have to take prednisone for poison ivy / oak... even though I have itchy blisters on my arms, goddamn it I can _walk_ normal!!!! :ROFLMAO:

And speaking of pain . . . I had a laser burn of my eyes yesterday - a laser iridotomy for narrow angles. I had never heard about this but my optometrist sent me to a specialist mumbling something about cataracts and since I didn’t need that, they found this, which can be a precursor for glaucoma. Whatever. It was free except for the $155 for some before/after pressure test - which isn’t mandatory – and it just confirms that it worked. Yeah, I know, it’s a $ grab and since they get paid for the laser procedure by the cheap-ass gov’t, they scratch for pennies elsewhere. Anyways, the laser burn was essentially pain free but my neuropathic pain (my fake leg pain) from my stenosis drove me nuts all day. I had to skip my daily stoned dog walk in the morning and since it was my eyes, I refrained from smoking any cannabis because we all know what happens to your eyes under the influence. :rasta:

Not a fun day . . . until . . . I stumbled in the door mid-afternoon and after a quick hit from my hash pipe followed by a small bowl of some leaf . . . the world became a much better place.
