We got more tails..and a tale of a lost tail..

Hence I appreciate the complement..if this thread does nothing else..at least maybe it will increase the use of the word "hence"..hehe..
I was tired and fell asleep last night..so I took pics this morning..to my surprise 2 of the Alfa BD's spouted tails..and grew quick
The other two aren't showing yet, but I'm going to put them into rooters as well..
Normally I won't wait this long to get them into the rooters..They get difficult to handle..I may pay the price this time..
One of the GD seeds tail anchored to the paper towel is now broken and the shell is off..hope I can save her..you can see in the pic
So now they are in RR's with a single layer moist paper towel laying on top..still in the dark for now..
The paper towel will give resistance to upward growth and allow the roots to anchor in and push harder on the paper towel..
This will also keep the seeds moist..I'll pull it off probably tomorrow sometime
and begin lighting..2-20W T8 cool fluoro to start..next to the 175W MH..

Many posts fester..hence it it time to post myself..When I was a kid we had this turn-of-the-century soap ad on this old crate..I may still have it..
I think it was Pear's Soap and the slogan was "hence the best and the cheapest"..what other slogan do you need..that says it all..
So began my love of the word hence..Maybe it should be a tradition to always include the word hence when one post's here..
So far I'm digging the usage here..

I like paper towels too..they have been very effective for me..I like them to start in rooters once they are germed..
I'm probably going straight to the rooters next time..or at least right when they crack..
TML16..I see you're full of shark bites again..hehe..Yeah this definitely isn't a how-to on germing..I think the less they are messed with the better..
but it sure is fun to watch um crack and tail..in soil long tails are no problem..
but with rooters..it's hard to get your root deep in the hole..hehe
Well the roots are in their holes..and packed in with loose rooter material..hopefully that broken tail babe will make it..
They are sharing a 20W fluoro to start..maybe a pic tomorrow..
Instead I cracked open a jar of 8 month old BubbleDust..and took a pic of some nugs..all for now..

Danger Will Robinson Danger..Well messing too much with germed seeds is never worth it..Like I said above..for now on I'm going straight from soak to Rapid Rooters..
The 3 GD BD seeds are doing OK but stressed..1 of the 2 Alfa BD's is doing great..already 2" root through the bottom..and is now in a cup with soil..
I was going to toss the ungermed seeds..and found 1 was germed..and I may have torn that tail as well..the other Alfa seedling seems to be having a rough time..
No big deal I just want a couple girlies on this run..as winter closes in..I'm going to add a larger light..That should allow 8 big girls..
I'll try to get a pic later on..
