OUTSIDER ART

Oh no! Youre going to give up growing? Perhaps you can scale down. I find it hard to believe that no one will take free meds - that's crazy!

That's the thing about being an artist - extremely few people will make a living at it. I told my ex (shes an artist too) that she was going to have to make a living to live for making art. That even in an art based job with a firm, she would have to create what was asked of her. That her own pursuit of making the art she wants to make and to make a living from, will take time to establish. And that, unfortunately, may never happen and she should create because she loves it, not because she wants to make $ from it.

I don't know if that helps at all, but don't give up on your dreams - even if theyre never realized. Youll never know what could be if you give up.

Im sorry to hear all this. Hope the new job is going well.

DAT my new job is doing art, but its for some company that owns like a hundred clothing companies and I have to drive to the belly of the beast downtown LA to work now away from my kids all day long. Ya know, I am just grateful to BE ABLE to make the art, like I said before I sometimes would rather pile it all up and burn it or just paint over that which I can. I also had a mis-start on my grow. Some weird issues with some I guess too old delta cubes ruined all but 4 of my babies and they are just regaining speed...with gnats...lol. Just got to keep on...its just a downhill on the cosmic cycle..the carousel never stops tho! Hope things point towards an upswing for you all around. The days are growing longer now so lets see what accompanies that!

yeah you guys are right.
I have to tell you what got me to this point.
the last 6 months I have had more time then in like 10 years to focus on my art because I quit my job and wasn't working full time. It gave me the freedom to be free , work on art everyday for hours and also allowed me to take time to frame a large body of art work that I had been working on for years.
So this got me thinkin to try to show or sell the stuff, which I have NEVER done in my life. For the past 7 years I have been giving all of my drawings away.
I have had many people suggest to me to sell my work but never bothered because I new what would happen and I have just proven it for sure with my present attempts.

Its been a good learning experience in many ways. I have been able to reassert what I new to be a reality about selling my work plus also allowing me place my talents in perspective.

This experience has allowed me to see this group of drawings as a series of work that I want to draw a conclusional end to .

This might also mean ending my growing because the 2 were connected in such a married way.

I have enough weed to last me years really.lol, especially after this harvest.

Im ready to dive into something else.. maybe back to political and religious subjects or even abstract celtic design.

I have been examining some of my earlier drawings that I did before this group and feel that they are much more sophisticated in many ways. Seems I lost something really special these last years that I would like to get back. And I believe I need to re-invent myself.

Its a good time to do that for me.. with starting a new job that takes me away from home and my garden it will force some new ambition, ideas and ways of looking at things.

Thanks for the insite WG and FTH. u really know where its at and I appreciate your support. I will upload some of my older work for ya'll to check out so you know where im coming from

Peace

DAT, those are amazing! So detailed and the textures are incredible! A cacophony for the eyes. And the eyes of Ganesha... very impressive. I wish I could get up close to the full size works.

Found these rolling papers in Wenatchee this weekend. I was so scared going over Stevens Pass in the snowstorm yesterday as the passenger. I closed my eyes and covered my ears the entire way . we passed a couple accidents. One young man must have gone off the embankment his car was missing, and we saw him being gurnied into the ambulance unconscious. so sad.

How pretty all these paintings are!! My favorite one is the second one named Trippy Trichome painting. It is looking like an Australian Aboriginal Art painting. The colors used to paint this one are just perfect.

awe thanks, I like that one too Matthew22!:) I have it hung up in a good spot in my house.

I chopped down my BLue Pit and FIreBall , nice lil pull and no PM on the buds.
I continue to battle the PM on all my plants left in the tent.
Im flushing the OG kushes and FireBalls now. I should be able to salvage most of the buds off of them .

Thanks RM. not too busy in the garden. busy working . I live on the road quite a bit these days. Trying to sort out a routine. Im going to the hydro store today to buy a Sulfur Burner to bomb my grow op and gear of powdery mildew ...so as not to effect any future grows in there.

Im going to break my 8 by 4 tent down . maybe buy some work out equiptment or put my easles in front of the window and do some art.
I bought a new microscope and have some cool images I would like to work off of.

. One day I hope to get a contract to grow a plant or 2 for someone. Until then I have plenty of meds to last me a while.

Thanks for the update. Good to know you're all stocked. Never gave a rat's ass about Art (to speak of) until a few years ago when I put myself back through college and was forced to take an Art Appreciation class. Had a great teacher that opened my eyes to art and changed my perspective. I would have dug your work before attending the class, 'specially since it's green inspired, but after taking the class, I really dig the shit out of your work.

One day, maybe I'll hook up with you to create something for me... in trade or charge ($), I'd be happy to own an original piece from ya.

Blessed vibes, my inspirational friend. Create on, DAT!

Love these:
