Outside Grower inside for the winter but outside soon in New York

Today is 09/09/2023 an Update more for me than for thee

This is my 4 season back outside after growing inside since 2001 first year 2020 for some reason

my thoughts were pots are the way to go because you can move them if you need to for security

so much work for so little yield if you can move the pot

2021 worked half in the ground half in pots did ten times the yield with 10 % percent of

the work with the plants in the ground and made some beans

2022 put around 70 or so plants in the ground because it was almost legal, that is not legal

come to find out go figure

so Johnny Law stopped by with 10 of his friends and whacked all my weed down

We are now here in 2023 I put these six plants in an OK spot to grow in as far as sun light goes

but as the fall comes it takes a bit for the sun to hit them and burn off the dew

I did not want to paid Dr. Fuckin Nugg 149.99 or whatever to be legal

my wife said if they come here you will be buying weed soon

I got legal for six in flower and six not, rec will be here sometime next year or I will

just renew next July

I will put up a greenhouse this fall/spring to grow six in the ground in it, I have a spot where

it get sun rise to sun set all year

these are my six plants they came back very nicely for the hard start they had

got to love growing a weed

the one all the way in the back is Purple Diesel x Holy Goddess

taking off now just need it to finish took cold well last time I grew it

for veg I used Mega Crop 9-7-14 at 1 teaspoon per gallon once a week

started using flower nutes second week of July I used Jacks Classic 10-30-20 to

get them on their way to flower at a teaspoon per gallon once

after that for 3 weeks I used Monopotassium Phosphate MKP 0-52-34 at 2 teaspoons per gallon

when they went into the ground I gave them a cap full of Osmocote 15 - 9 - 12

but my gardens started as Hard pan rocks and clay, over the last 30 years I have added

the manure of three horses which has helped build better soil

39 degrees F here this morning at 5AM

I use most fertilizer at half rate you can always give a plant more

can be a pain in the ass to get rid of the too much

I believe you can use it outside at 1 tablespoon per gallon weekly I know

Jacks you can

I used it more so for the trace elements, cal mag , sulfur etc.

my soil is pretty good now and I am sure the Osmocote time release

helped also

I like the Nitrogen in Mega Crop better Jacks 20-20-20 full strength

has given some weird growth with a few plants

nice flowers! good call on the Jacks and MKP, most outs that I see in the east coast don't get enough nutrition and are way underfed compared to indoor bottle fed herb. couple grams of potassium sulfate in there now that we are finishing will probably help too.

most year I would have trimmed them five or six time by now, this year just put them

in the ground and let them go

must year I use hedge shears they did super-crop themselves going in so early and

having to reveg

rain doesnt look too bad on my 10 day

mine looks good also but being the weather man they still pay you even if you are wrong eh?

the bud has done very well I did not think they were going to work outside, I have a blueberry

that has buds hard as rocks and shaped like bats

with no rot, so you never can tell or maybe do not count your chickens...... we will see

Jacks is great but NPK is bud crack your plants will love the stuff and it is cheap

for how little you use

most outs that I see in the east coast don't get enough nutrition and are way underfed compared to indoor bottle fed herb.

it has always amazed me how some folks feed their plants, so easy to give them so much of

what they do need or cannot use

but not give them what they want, or need to grow well, healthy plant fight bugs, disease, etc.

so they will need to be well feed for the north east's weather for sure
