I've been working with my seed stock for years now. Breeding for outdoor trees.
Being familiar with how strains grow and produce is what helped me. Its the experience and time spent with strains. I have been growing a long time indoor and out.

Of course some crosses don't work out, My Stinky Pinky crosses for example. Good yield little fire. And their are others that just don't make the cut and I have bags of beans.

I am looking for fire, couch lock, yield, purple and frosty!
mendo dream, purple diesel x blueberry diesel their is some fire in those.

Now I'm going in a certain direction yield and frost.
The menu is going to change this '13 season.
What works best for me will serve other people best.

The funny thing is some some poor plants I grew form TGA seed started all this.
I can offer better seed than that! bread in my outdoor cannabis lab.

And now here we are about to bust this shit out!!!

bread in my outdoor cannabis lab

You bakin muffins out there bro!? In all seriousness though thats the type of statement I like to hear. It seems like a huge majority of seeds on the market are never tested outside where cannabis is meant to be. Imagine work without regs and being able to run thousands outside without fear. What a selection that would be!

Have you run the Purple Diesel clone or know when it finishes?

If you ever want to put your strains through the bad weather ringer I'll sign up for a test...

DM I believe what you are referring to as black mold is actually botrytis... potassium silicate and neem (or another horticulture oil) mixed weekly.

Thanks 25ftGW. Botrytis is exactly what i am talking about and i had it 2 years ago on account of a lot of rain. the green house idea was put to me by someone else, and i am in the same school of thinking as you are in that it will only increase the humidity or keep it level rather than help dry things out. i will go with the neem and silicate mixture that you stated and see where that will get me.

all the best.

I agree with Mendo. If you have solid seed stock your set. Buying from TGA is NOT SOLID SEED STOCK.

I have seen clone plants yield 10+, however that was blue dream. I want to say seed plants produce 20% more on average, strain dependent.

Can't speak for OB, but for me...and I've met and talked with Sub (very cool, committed grower), so don't think I'm hating here, but...potency is my main gripe with TGA.

It looks nice, but doesn't ring my bell.

HB.

100% agree. I love the hash but haven't found a TGA keeper of purely smoking flowers.

@Budman

I found Dinafem's Blue Widow to be very close to breeder description. It was surprisingly accurate.

I would agree

Agreed. I've been impressed by everything I've grown out from dinafem. I will say though I am a Rez sour diesel freak sour crosses get me off. Always loved any thing crossed with c99

There's pros & con's to clone/seed.

Pro's of seed-
Tap root,
Better branching early on,
Plants won't go into flower for several months (earlier planting outdoor)

Pros of Clones-
Complete uniformity of grow,
No males,
Plants can be force flowered right away
IMHO better gennetics

P.S. Some varieties of apples have been grafted (same as cloned) for hundreds of years, with next to no sports. Most of the "sports" are due to inviromental conditions imho. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhode_Island_Greening

Lookin really good Mendo!

Hope you can finish them all on time! Should indeed be pretty in a month or so.

Any colors in your strains?
