Dutch Passion - Frisian Dew

Dutch Passion - Frisian Dew

Pheno#2

Type (sativa/indica ratio): 50/50
Females tested:2
Variation: 2 phenos tested

Outdoor harvest time: pheno 1 early Sept; pheno 2 mid-late Sept

Pheno 2: Some branching, with dense, stinky buds.

<4> Ease of Growing (1 = hard 10 = easy)
<N/A> Ease of Cloning (1 = hard 10 = easy)
<> Yield (watts)
<> Odor Level

GROW Method: Soil, amended with GH Rare Earth (silica, minerals, and leonardite), dolomitic lime, FF Marine Cuisine during veg, POM Bulb Food and 0-10-2 guano during flower.

EYE APPEAL

<#1=1; #2=8> Density
<#1=7; #2=10> Aroma

COMMENTS: Pheno 1 doesn't yield well at all, and I know of someone who grew it OD and believes this pheno autoflowers, as his flowered before the end of June! It is the fluffiest bud I've ever seen.
Pheno 2 is the exact opposite. It grows very large, dense buds, with very little leaf.

SMOKE REPORT

<#1=7; #2=9> Potency
<#1=7 1/2;#2=10> Taste
<#1=10;#2=10> Smoothness (1 = harsh 10 = smooth)
<#1=0; #2=3> Indica Influence
<#1=10;#2=7> Sativa Influence
<#1=4;#2=8> Effect Onset (1 = immediate 10 = super creeper)
<#1=2 1/2;#2=3-3 1/2> Duration (In hours)
<#1=?(haven't smoked enough);#2=2> Tolerance Buildup (1 = slow 10 = fast)
<#1=2 1/2; #2=10> Overall Satisfaction

High Description:pheno #1 is pure sativa. My mind races and I get all talkative when I smoke this. Just smoked a bowl, and I'm ready for whatever Nice to smoke when you need to focus on things. Sometimes you almost have to stop and ask yourself whether or not you're high; then you realize you're high as hell, you're just thinking too clearly to realize it.
Pheno #2 is somewhat of a mix. Still keeps you energetic, but gets the head a little fuzzy as well.
Smell:#1=Chlorine, like pool water, and a hint of wintergreen. #2= Amazing. Fruity and very sweet, and kind of spicy. A hint of a floral smell, too.
Taste:#1=Not an extremely nice flavor, pretty plain in fact.#2=Earthy, fruity and spicy. VERY nice.
Medical Effects:#1 None, I'd say.;#2=Very little, I'd say. Smoked a bunch when my back hurt, didn't help much.
<> Medicinal Strength

COMMENTS:Both phenos are nice, but #2 is by far the better in all respects.

KEEPER?
<X> YES
<> NO

FINAL COMMENTS: I'd recommend it, but with the warning to select pheno#2. It has a much better yield, a far superior flavor, and serious bag appeal. Pheno #1 will still appeal to sativa lovers, as it only takes 7-8 weeks to flower, and the high is pure sativa.

Quick Mist

Quick Mist

Strain/Breeder: Quick Mist (Reservoir)
Harvest time: mid october
Latitude of grow: 46 N
Location: bush, guerilla, lot of sun
Average yield:??
Mold?: no
Potentcy: 7
Year of grow: 2008

I had 4 plants. 3 were males, female was almos completely destroyed by hail. All plants were vigourous, one male was more tall, skinny plant with more sativa leaves, another one was outstading bush with thick leaves, indica pheno. Female was tall, sativa pheno plant and in mid august it was around 200cm tall, with a lot of short branches, then it got destroyed.

That what was left yielded this buds:

Harvest mid october, here and there there was some purple calyx and with nice long orange pistils it looked pretty sexy. flowering buds had gentle bubblegum smell, then when dry smell changed to pure spice and after a month cure it has gentle incese smell with a bit of sweetnes. pleasant.

Potency is ok, it's not really strong, it gives pleasant clear 90/10 sat/ind high that lasts some time. Suitable to smoke always and especially with women. Women loves stuff like this. Not the tipe of high that I prefer and a bit late, so won't be grown again.

Grow Again: This is prolly the only strain I will ever grow again. Gonna stick with this one. Why waste time and effort on anything less? I already bought the 10-pack femmed for my 2009 grow

Papa's Candy

Papa's Candy

Strain/Breeder: Papa's Candy (Eva fem seeds)
Harvest time: late october
Latitude of grow: 46 N
Location: bush, guerilla, lot of sun
Average yield: good, 300g+
Mold?: no
Potency: 8
Year of grow: 2008
Grow again: No, too late.

I had 3 plants. 2 phenos. first pheno: is 250cm+ bush (2plants), 2nd is single cola dominant strong short plant with beautifull serrated leaves. Anyway the only one that survived the fury of the nature is plant on the pic below. It was probably 1 in 200. Vigourous growth, no signs of pests, no yellowing, no mold, so no problem with this strain. Only problem was that it grows so huge and that it starts to flower at 1st september at my latitude, so it's not good guerilla plant, hard to hide in late october as it's green and other plants are dying.
It was harvested around day 53 and the breeder says it's 45-55 day finisher.
I was lucky with weather. This stuff is one of those that gains lot of potency with curing, when "fresh" it was pretty bland but it's good now. Anyway I'll write a detailed smoke report as there is no info on this strain here at icmag.

280cm beauty, lost some lower branches in hail storm:

White Widow

White Widow

Strain/Breeder: White Widow fem (Greenhouse)
Harvest time: late october, 25th
Latitude of grow: 46 N
Location: eu, bush, guerilla, lot of sun
Average yield: good, fat buds
Mold?: yes, at mid oct
Potency: 9, excellent stone
Year of grow: 2008
Grow again: definitely maybe

All 5 plants sprouted and from beginining they looked a bit strange because of somehow "rough" leaves and they were instabil. After good month they became vigourous, normal established plants. On very little fertiliser ww grows without problems. It's ready to harvest from mid oct on. In late stage some leaves became dark purple and it was sensitive to mould because of the density of the buds. At this latitude some luck is needed to harvest ww.
I harvested around day 60, and 40 of that days were perfect weather- indian summer.
Potency and taste is excellent, many trichomes out there...

Strain: Zamal x Skunk Special
Breeder: Female seeds
Harvest time: Oct.
Latitude of grow: Early 30s N
Location: Japan
Average yield: "decent"
Mold : not even a hint of it...zero!
Potentcy: takes a little while to settle down, I would say after 2months cure potency would be 6 or so? hard to say. about 80% sativa cerebral effects and 20% energizing body effect...
Grow again: Maybe not...:D I have others to explore.

Carrot pheno, after curing the creeper effect seems to have reduced a little. smells like carrots.
ps/noto bene: My plant went w/o watering or feeding for the last month or two.

Purple Pineberry

Purple Pineberry

Breeder: Vision Creator
Harvest Time: Early-late September
Latitude of grow: 37N
Location: Appalachia
Average yield: 3-4 ounces
Mold: alot of mold
Potency: 5
Year of grow:2007
Grow again: Maybe

I vegged these plants for 3 weeks and put them out in late June. They would have yielded alot more had I put them out earlier. Mold was bad but I had a bad budworm problem. Very fruity smelling some pine. Potency left something to be desired but great bag appeal, big lime green buds. They also finish early wich is nice but can be a problem if humid and rainy in late August/early September.

Strain: Mighty Freeze (Friesland clone x Mighty Mite male)
Breeder: Jaysprout from unleashdagreen
Place of cultivation: Central Europe 50N
Harvest date: From end Aug to mid Sept
Mould: Very little
Yield: Good
Appearance: Chunky nugs, braided look to very early finishers
Bouquet: Fruity/piny fresh, more piny dry
Taste: Complex piny
High: 8
Grow again: Most definitely

I first grew MF (clones from selected mum) in 2007, they were very easy to clone and grow, needed very little attention. I got the later, taller pheno with these, finished mid Sept, beautiful indoor looking buds that were a cinch to trim and had great bag appeal. Lovely piny taste and potent.
Last year I ran lots more clones from 3 different MF mums, got a very fast small finisher, potent braided buds ready about 20th Aug. Then another very fast pheno but quite big, branchy plants. Then the later, tall pheno I'd had the year before, again harvested mid Sept.
MF is BY FAR the best of the MANY outdoor strains I've grown here!! Easy to clone, grows well, and even though many of my guerrilla plants are neglected and in shady spots, they still pump out fat smelly buds.
This strain is a real WINNER for me, so glad I came across it.
This year will be running her again plus Jay's Mighty Amstel Freeze, which some friends grew with great success last season.

Added: remember that for mums, clones, any long-term veg, you need to go 24/0 with MF. The clones I kept alive winter 2007/8 didn't really show any tendency to start budding even after quite a few months, and I think I got away with needing just one, maybe two 400W lamps at the end, to veg enough mums to give up 300 or so clones, so big OD grows are achievable with a very modest setup. (BTW, if you want a very easy way to root hundreds of cuts, just build a soil bed 100x100x8cm deep (40x40x3in) one big bag of potting soil mixed with perlite will fill it, with a polystyrene sheet as the base, and shallow sides, space them every 2in and you have 400 cuts, I had mine down in the cellar with a 400W HPS 4ft above, room was humid so no need to cover the cuts with clear poly, got 90% success rate, in the end nice healthy clones and the soil bed was all roots ).

Edit for Gunn, yield depends on pheno, the fastest yields low, 10 to 20g in normal guerrilla growing, max height maybe 2ft, pheno 2 perhaps 50g and 3 to 4ft, pheno 3 above 50g and 5 to 6ft tall. As far as growing them in corn fields, unless you clear a large area I wouldn't bother with the 2 short phenotypes, but the late pheno should be good.
