Thanks Paddi! No, that male was too small, so I wouldn't use it for breeding. Actually, all of the OG kush x GG seem quite small compared to most of the rest. They really smell great already, however.
Thanks. I couldn't remember which one was the male, so I guess it was the Danish Passion.
Yeah, I'm impressed with the crops despite the cool weather. It's actually amazing that all of these plants are all only 41 days old from seed and many have already started to flower.
Happy in the fields the way i like it....
Natural fields that is,great spot man!!!
You can tell the cool orange yellow sun on them.....
Far from my blistering white blinding sun?
40 days is normal for most indica based strains to sex!
ill be watchin....
Thanks lougrew! Yeah, I took those pics just before sunset, so the sunlight was very orange. In their swampy spots, my plants get direct sunlight for almost the whole day. Yeah, many indicas will show preflowers this early, but hardly any of them would be fully flowering like the strains I'm growing. At my lattitude, most indicas don't begin to flower until mid to late August and most indica varieties will not finish at all up here.
Backcountry, the Guerilla Gold and Manitoba Medicine are semi-autoflowering strains. Some will autoflower under 24 hours of light, but most of them need about 6 hours of dark in order to fully swell up. I normally start them inside around mid may and take them out at the end of May. They begin budding early to mid July and then finish at the end of August to early September. This year I actually just planted seeds directly outside at the end of May and it looks like I'm only a week behind schedule compared to other years. I can deal with that. The Freezeland is not auto, but is an indica that will is quite photosensitive. It begins to bud at the beginning of August and finishes aroud the end of September.
i ordered gg2 seeds last year and while i didnt find a worthy female i did find a nice male which i crossed to my favorite ducksfoot, this is an s1 from that cross that was used as a mom and put outside late may, it smells very nice, the gg cut down the skunk and gave it a grapefruity smell and an early tester was promising
Nice cross you made, pseudo! It looks quite short, but very chunky. That's not surprising considering the parents. The GG should cut down the finishing time for sure with that cross. Looks like it'll be done by the end of July! How long was she vegging inside for?
Thanks colt! Yeah, things are going alright even though the weather hasn't been that good. I'll probably update next week with some more pics, so make sure to check it out.
Looking great Greens!
Just wondering what kinda nutes you are feeding your ladies. And also i fyou could suggest a strain that does very well, and finishes around mid sept., in a northern canadian outdoor environment.
Great looking Greens, i must admit for all ppl that gg"s are one of the most potent autos i ever grow. GG2 was great super early and greaat high but GG3 was killer smoke and this really blow my mind away everytime big up
