What do you mean you wash your flower? At harvest?
Bud washing. It works. Second season last year. Went all in and washed 9.5 #'s.

I didn't use the lemon and baking soda last year but concentrated hydrogen peroxide I got at the grow store and diluted myself.
it's worth checking out.

Is this to prevent mold while drying?
It's too wash any mold, dirt, bug poop, hair, etc. off your girls before you dry them.
I've done it 2 seasons now.
Last year I did my whole harvest (9.5#) and I'm a fan.

Being skeptical at first I did some control testing. I even filtered all the rinse water through a rosin bag to see if I was losing trichromes.
9.5 pounds left barely a half gram in the bag.
I will say it's a bit eerie at first. Google and read a few articles and you'll start to see the similarities.

I've been washing every harvest, indoor and outdoor, for like 5 years and will never go back, especially after checking the difference through a microscope, and seeing how dirty the water ends up. No noticeable amount of resin is lost, that's complete bullshit. Resin doesn't dissolve in water.

Ive always been a bit skeptical of washing bud. Ive never actually done it myself but just seeing the color change kinda scared me off.

The guy who taught me how to make hash rosin told me just to do a quick 10 second wash then dump the water to get rid of dirt. Just scared of losing trichomes lol

Moving along quickly now, good to see.
Maybe she is more of the SSSDH leaning pheno?

She's the delicate looking one.
Maybe a bit more of the 'wild' pheno OJD mentions.
And it does seem that she is a bit slower than the 'Sticky' pheno.

I do a quick wash with the outdoor because I have some big fir trees in the backyard and they drop all kinds of crap on the plants. Plus the wind blows crud off the roof of the house. Then there's pollen from other sources and all kinds of stuff that gets on outdoor plants. I don't do the indoor as all the intakes to the tent are covered with Merv 11 filter material. Nothing gets in.

Yes, washing the indoor harvests is overkill you could say, at most there will be a little dust on the buds. It's more that I have made of washing the harvest such a habit it's just part of growing for me, the same way I wash my vegetables before eating them.

On the other hand, checking the outdoor harvest with a microscope is very eye opening. The amount of shit that will stick to resin is unbelievable.
