OUTDOOR GROWS 2024 ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE-

MadMac

far beyond driven...
hello friends of the fresh air ;-)
here my outdoor haze this season...
like same than last from size ... around 4 meter + but different genetics...
can't wait for smoke test hehe
well here in north Germany we had 2 weeks cold rainy and stormy weather with 3°C @ night and 10°C @ day... they made it... no mold no other plant issues... only mouse and rat's that eat the roots on some...
now we have a few day's around 20°C to finish and give some THC shot @ the end... after all I'll can show again that sativa rocks solid in harsh conditions...

Beautiful work moose did you grow Oaxacan at 42 N. ? I tried Bodhi zippolite here at 38 never finished by late October
I did!
I ran 3 of Green Mountain Seeds offerings.
Wanted to believe after reading a couple long threads over the winter. 🤔
He's been working them at my latitude in Vermont for 40 years.
I had a really good year last season and could afford the risk. So I went all in.

Started with a couple of fems. Green Mountain Grape and Purple Satellite.
Then everyone sounded like they were having so much fun with the Mountain Gold that I got sucked into that one too! 🤣
I'm getting up there. Hadn't made a seed in 40 years. So I grabbed some Mountain Gold regs and did a seed repo.
Having a blast! I'll post more about that.
So
Here's a few pics.

All ready on board for more! 🤣
Now I've got the whole set and I don't even know if I like the smoke. 😉

But I have faith. 😇
Made the seeds ahead of time to get a jump on next year and beyond.
I had as much fun making the seeds as I did growing. 🫘

Howdy everyone!
Another beautiful week in the books. Got a little sprinkle last week, now it’s back into the 70’s-80’s. Next rain is expected to be a few inches on Halloween, although we are still a ways out from there.
Harvested two more plants today. Down to five full seasons and a handful of autos left standing. One will be harvested next week, the others around Thanksgiving.
Best of luck to those with plants still up and I hope everyone’s got scissor hash a-plenty!

Lazy trim and terrible pictures haha. Most plants have come out quite frosty. Last weekends chop.

I tell ya, I would just love to have those temperatures right now

The high today was 7C 🥶

Thanks to all the folks that are mentioning their latitude or some general clue as to what it is.
Without that, there is no real reference for your gorgeous plants grown wherever. Those of us on the edge of the limits for photoperiods really need that reference to keep from wasting our time.

We have longer days, so don't initiate flowering as quickly, and then have a shorter fall, which trims the flowering time on both ends.

I think @gorilla ganja may feel my pain.

Am I cranky? Yes I am 🤣

This is this morning at 50.5N

Looking great, will make it much easier to manage. The branches or leaves could eventually block the flow of water I guess. Used to use spaghetti hoses and emitters at the nursery if it gets that way. Its not too bad, but they have to be checked.

May get a truck tank with electric pump to water the garden next year.

Rain/storm coming and 3 other plants in the ground and one hanging already.
I made the decision to chop one this morning.
1000020737.jpg

I had already plucked her fan leaves yesterday in anticipation.
I chopped her early this morning.
187 days - 42.2N - 13.5 weeks of flower

Bad plastic that's letting go on the seams is tearing up my covering.
Made the call early to chop. 🪓

Finishing my coffee ☕
And then out to do a bud wash.

Highland Lao from the real seed company.
Seeds sown September 15th

Amazing tolerance to cold and wet weather.
A strain so late maturing the only way to grow it on the west coast at around 36 degrees latitude is to sown the year prior.

This particular line is from the fourth accession
The last time I grew it was from the first accession.

Well this just happened yesterday but it's already giving me ideas for next season.
Thought I would share me idea.

I normally have the plants under plastic for a month just to get them through the 2 weeks of nasty weather we always seem to have in the fall. Then there's sunshine on the other side.
However, I got a bad roll of plastic that split along the folds they made in it.

Last night I opened up the doors to the hot tub room and put the 3 remaining plants in there for the day.
Wind being more of a worry than them getting wet.

This looks like it's really going to work.
I'll be trying to extend the season next year and play around with longer flowering strains. I'm at 42.2N.

I had a Super Panama Haze started as a test this year but it died early.
I'll definitely be trying this next fall. 😉
