OUTDOOR GROWS 2024 ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE-

That's a tough call , looks like it could definitely go just a bit longer but I'm sure it's good now. They don't look all that bulky so they are probably less likely to mold. With larger plants I will pick the large bulky buds before the rain and leave the smaller ones. Honestly I notice little difference with the ones let go a week or two latter. I'm curious to see how other folks chime in .looking good !
Yeah, they aren't too bulky. Thanks for the feedback. I don't see any mold yet. 60s and sunny today but Wednesday the forecast is upper 40s and rain.

Nice! What strain? how many days of flower?
We're at that time where every day can make some difference.

So I bought it as a teen from the local weed shop. It was labeled "ILO + LPC",(I think LPC hard to read it). I'm thinking it's cross of London Pound Cake, not sure what ILO could be. I need to find the person at the shop to ask...

I'm guessing it's been flowering for about 60 days now.

Staying warm this year, but its time to take them down. After the hurricane reminants came spinning through, needed to cut tops because would have been too difficult to pic out all the mold, and losses would have been too great.

Plants were ready, and have been happy with the harvest. The second round was sweeter and stronger, but at least the potency is there for the first round, and its going to be good medicine for our needs.

Saw mice really take a hit this year, and that played into the decision to cut early. I think the drought played into it, although the mice have been eating seeds and causing damage just about every year.

Was out at the garden yesterday trimming and my dachshund Bonnie was hunting the mice. I could hear them squeak every once in a while. Hope they got the message. :smoke:

Happy harvest, God is good! A little hit on mold, a little from mice, but still have more than enough good medicine for our needs.

So thankul I'm able to dry indoors this year, medicine is better! Mildew can be a risk when drying outdoors. High humidity at night is reduced when drying indoors, and its easier to get a good result without having to dry for 10-14 days. :smoke:

This week's flowers are much sweeter smelling after some cool weather and the passing of the storm. Oh well, mold was beginning to break out, and potency was there. Happy harvest! :smoke:

Took down Sensi Star today. Big thick clumpy buds you could break a window with!

definitely going to run this one and Afghan next year. It's nice to not have the caterpillars set in when trimming. Last year I lost 1.5 pounds from power plant because it wasn't ready until November so lesson learned, short flowering indicas for outdoor and run sativa dominant indoor. Thanks for sharing and thanks for looking! Happy harvest growers!

Looks done to me, would be alright to harvest anytime by the looks of it. Probably quick flowering indica.

My flowers that were harvested are still potent and taste great, worth harvesting before going into decline.

Great idea cutting the big buds first. Another plus is all the big buds are separated from the small loose flower! Get to have all good stuff! I like it! :smoke:

Took the rest of the garden this weekend.

Garden is resting for a few months until winter passes through. :smoke:

Humidity down near 20% during the day now. Keeping the house sealed up to help slow drying process.

Sun is being shy and temps are cooling back into the 40's at night, growing season is cutting off here. Time to rest and work on testing flowers! Thanks for sharing guys! Miss being able to grow over the winter..... Maybe some day. :smoke:

Drying down kind of fast, how fast is too fast? I will do what I can do dry over a 7 day period. Not going to be as dry today about 25-40% RH. But tomorrow back to 25% so will have to watch them to keep them from drying out too much. Turned off my ceiling fan during the day and just have a couple box fans and the windows open.

I guess the secret is slowing them down as much as you can and then jar when stems snap and burp as necessary. Probably want to dry over no less than 5 days I'm sure.

With a closed house, humidity goes back up, should be alright for a 7day dry. Just don't want them to dry out too much and lose terpenes.

Howdy!
Hope everyone is doing alright.
From hurricanes to heatwaves… it’s been a wild October so far! Everything is dry here out west, record breaking heat. The plants have not been happy with this heat, luckily we will dip below the 90’s here soon.
Chopped down two of the plants today. Next few should be by this upcoming weekend or the next. Other plants will be pushing well into November.
Best of luck to those with plants still up and happy harvesting to those that have already chopped yours down!

You can buy a humidifier man, they're cheap and will last you a long time. If you don't want to spend money, you can have some water buckets in the room to help raise the RH. Wet towels, things like that. I usually aim for around 20 days if I can. 15 days is great. 7 days would be a minimum.

Thanks, thats a good idea. Thought about doing extra loads of laundry. I'm keeping the house sealed up to keep moisture in. Flowers still have some moisture, should be close enough I think. I can put them in a paper bag or cardboard box piled up to slow drying process. Turned fan off overnight and during day. They're drying in the kitchen above the cupboards so had moisture from making dinner last night and coffee this morning.

Yeah the humidity at night actually helps if they get dried out during the day.

Best results once again is the way God designed it outdoors, but have to pay attention to time it with good weather. Always a gamble, have to trust and pay attention. :smoke:

Another thing you can do is once it's just dry enough not to mold pick it off the stems and put it in a container I've used pepper bags or boxes or my bins with the lids off or slid open a bit. The same with the bags or boxes you can control the dry rate by opening or closing a bit. I have the opposite problem and am running air conditioning fans and a dehumidifier I still us the bins to slow down the more dry batches
