Wow, so its 100 percent hay? Hows the water schedule with something like that.

Or is it a mix (hay with dirt), no mold issues with the hay after a while?

Cool dude, always learnjng

I wouldn’t eat either :p Of them!
If you ate them, you couldn't tell them apart almost...
My parents and grandparents ate a lot of cat as a substitute for rabbit (which, as Revegetta rightly says, the latter is highly consumed and appreciated here, especially the non-domestic wild one)... Not in vain does the saying "give a cat for a poke"...

Best wishes for luck and health, @Old Ford ord

I vary the hay mix according to a rough season weather guide , less hay if its gonna be a wet one as i can retain the wet stuff rather well !
My normal -
dry summer mix 10 grit , 60 hay , 30 home brew compost.
wet summer mix 10 grit , 40 hay 50 home brew compost.

I have had zero rot issues for a few seasons now, not lost anything ... so far lol

Those pics above are in the hay medium and only fed twice the entire grow with some Flower Power liquid feed as just wasnt fit enough , this year sadly is a neglected grow , the plants normally look fire !!!
This year im not feeling it and struggling hence the rough plants.
Numerous years on another forum with documented grows. Still finding my feet here but will get the diary kept up to date as best as i can.

Thank you sir. Yeah cobbing has been a major part on another forum i regularly sit on.
Im strictly liquid as cant swallow anything unless is soft & runny sadly.
Cobbing is indeed a good way , especially if you have lager quantities to process & preserve.
I dont consume what im growing , well only a tiny portion for oils / meds , i mainly give it away , more in it for the challenge of trying to get a healthy well cooked plant over the line in the shitty UK very short summer window. Love a challenge , from 16wk sativas to rapid short indicas.
Just love the challenge and my go to happy place.
That wouldn't be a certain uk site that is 420 would it? I've was showing them a while back all about cobbing.
I'm impressed that you can get 16wk Sats over the line. I struggle sometimes her in Southern Spain, although they don't start flowering until September. In the UK I was strictly indoors. 🙂

Yes sir, over on the 420 , its my local spot lol
Cobbing has been quite the thing and very much discussed , lots of glowing reports & experiments.
Looks to be very interesting and love the idea , sadly my limits are liquid , been on strictly liquids for time now, cant wait to eat a real meal again !! Just take eating for granted until you cant.
16 wks , i start Feb indoors, kick them out / let harden then into light dep. Hard work but yeah im happy. Western Winds on a long cook out been the firm fav so far.
This year the wet is winning and autos all copping rot sadly , luckily i have escaped it in first wave of autos, second wave in early flower , fems just kicking off , believe its going to be a test of genetics and lots copping for rot sadly.

I'm more for skinnig rabbits than cats...

Haha we do eat rabbit in Spain and let me tell you mate you are missing out (y)
I accidently hit a young 6 inch rabbit today with the string trimmer. I was moving really fast today to try to stay ahead with the heat wave coming in and didn't see it when I went around the landscape. Poor thing had a broken leg and several cuts so had to put it out of its misery with my Buck knife. Never had to do that with a rabbit, may have with a snake.

Took it down to the creek and dropped it off for something to eat. Could have cooked it up and ate it with the dogs. Didn't even think about that, was so sad. Poor thing, lots of clover out there in that neighborhood and its by a creek, they have a lot of rabbits. I had seen him earlier, will be more careful. :smoke:

Fighting throat / neck cancer dude , simply wont smoke , hence in it more for the challenge than the rewards. I keep a bit for mct / oils / butters but the majority i give away.
Believe ... i could kill for a good J on most days lol
No cigs, just that sweet weed taste Mmmm

Sorry to hear about that. Would vaping be an acceptable option. Its not as flavorful as smoking, but vaping has similar onset and effects to smoking and has no carcinogens. Check out the Vapor Brothers vaporizer.

Does you hay have alfalfa in it? Is it aged or composted in any way?

Alfalfa meal is a soil amendment with about 4% nitrogen. Looks like a really happy plant. How big was the container before transplant and what was it growing in previously?

I have a real problem and I’ll tell you exactly what it is I am a hard-core carnivore but at the same time I feel guilty for eating meat I don’t know what the fuck to do
I actually have been eating without meat since mid July. My refrigerator went out and I had lots of vegan food I like anyway like hemp seed and chickpeas so I was able to stay afloat. But started getting hungry today so made some freeze dried chicken and it woke me up. Less sore already. So you need meat, but you can go time without it and you feel healthier. Nice to eat light in the heat of the summer. :smoke:

Then I hit this rabbit today and have to put it out of its misery. Learning to respet the value of life myself. I don't like having to kill animals for my food if I can get plant based nutrition.

I can grow CBD Hemp here legally, but I have to apply for growers license and its supposed to go to a processer who sells it retail to a customer. People should be able to take care of themself, this is all about business and not about giving people freedom. :smoke:

cheers mate , i just leave inhaling alone now full stop , would love nothing more than a fat rolled J !!
So i kind of just dont do it.. im happy but i do get a craving lol
Hay medium wise i mix it with a home brew compost wit worm castings / comfrey and nettle added. thats it , the hay breaks down very nicely. Its just dried meadow feeding hay , nothing special.
I start in seedling pots then direct to end pot , 10 ltrs this season , been coming down as seeing no real visual diff between 15 and 10 ltrs , even 7 1/2 ltrs..
I used to happily do big ass bushes in 15ltrs and 10ft tall but im not feeling it now, too big for my old ass to move and play with . Plant sizes now im happy with as can just about manage them.
Will find some of previous years bushes t let you see the hays potential.

Anyone here ever heard of rabbit starvation? Apparently they're not fatty enough to live off alone. Pipeline, summer is for sure the right time to to cut back on eating meat, I have so much lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini & melons right now I can barely keep up with them enough to make room for anything else.

Heres some of Tychomonolith's Honduran Jamaican, the 3 on the left are his originals, but the seeds are getting old, I started 10 seeds to get the 3 plants, still have a lot left, he was generous when he sent me those. The 4 on the right are F2s I made last year. They should all start blossoming shortly, looks like two already have if you look closer up, 1 boy & 1 girl so far.

This is one of the South Africans I started in dep a few days ago, still don't know it's gender

This is a one from the group I started in dep a bit over 8 weeks ago, somehow it looks like it got spider mites on it, but none of my outdoor plants have that issue, so I guess they got the mites from the closet I've been using for their night times. Hopefully the South Africans don't suffer the same fate, I've been using a different closet for them so far. The seeds on the flea-bitten plants are all ready enough, so I guess the mites weren't damaging enough to prevent me from getting what I wanted out of those plants, but still kind of annoying cause now I have to clean that closet out if I don't want to be harboring a mite population in my house.

Weather is hard to predict this time of year. Wasn't supposed to rain all week, very low rain probablility, but storms kept popping up. Thank you God! Not going to have to water this week! Been pretty hot every day with temperatures in the mid 80's to lower 90's, but we've been getting a little rain every day or 2. Yesterday got about 3/4-1 inch rain and today got another dose!

Went out to check and stood up a few that were leaning yesterday. They were watered deep if they are leaning like that! Going to be maximum velocity growth now! :smoke:

Saw one of the males is dropping pollen and a couple others are very close. Hoping to see pistil stacking on all the plants soon, some of them have started to look that way. I think the Champion 1 will drop pollen on time, we will have to see. :smoke:
