Hey Dancing Man, let's hear it.. how did it smoke? I'm itching to see budshots and a smoke report on the NL47.

Well, i'm back. Figured I would listen to Luna, "better late then never." So, without further ado, i present you the first plant I harvested, the best of the NL 47, which is refered to as NL 47 #1. I got 1/4 pound of this particular plant, which gives a nice heady, mostly sativa high, with a bit of a punch. I will write a more detailed smoke report with some cured bud shots once all the plants are in. The #1 is on the left, leaves yellow from flushing (Nl 47 #2 is on the right).

Here is a couple of the buds still on the plant.

A few chopped buds.

All trimmed up.

The whole group of NL 47 #1 buds hanging out to dry:

Thought I should add in a few picks of NL 47 #2, the plant which shared the bin with #1.

As well as the shifty 5 gal bucket for bubble hash that dun dump and myself rigged up. We assembled this fancy bucket so that we wouldn't have to remove the buble bags to drain the water in the bucket.

We started by drilling an hole slightly smalled than the diameter of the tap we planned to use. We then heated the plastic so that it was soft, and threaded the tap into the hole to create a maching thread pattern in the hole. We unscrewed the tap, added a bit of silicon to prevent leaks, and screwed it back together for the last time and tada! Works hella good, and hasnt leaked yet.

very nice buds mate, those plants looked fantastic. I hope none of that Ivy is ontop of your mj plants, i got sumac where i am and if you enhale that oil when it is burning you can die...
anyways awesome job... those look friggin awesome...super awesome

technine, u r awsome for not giving up on my thread over "my extended absence" of pics. I thanks u. As for the final bud shots...u r getting a head of me lol. Once i get the thread all caught up i will get final pics of all the bud, the hashberries and speed queens are still out toughing out the weather, so once they are harvested, which will be very soon, i will do a detailed report of this years goodies. but for now... more updates.

ganjadreams, i appreciate your concers, i also have sumac around my plants, as well as the ivy. good thing my plants are in bins above ground lol. well i havent died yet so, im happy haha.

So hear is the harvest of NL 47 #2, 3, 4. I never really took any close ups of #3 and 4 for some reason, must have slipped my mind, but heres what i got.

NL 47#2, just before harvest:

water polymers

water polymers

i have a question for anyone following this thread. as u have noticed i grow in 18 gallon totes, but the problem is the girls are thirsty and suck em dry in a day or two and i just can't keep up. is there anyways besides mulch to keep the soil moist? it will be very hard to get mulch back now. And water polymers go at the bottom of the soil dont they? i have no experience with them. Any help would be much appreciated.
i suggest 1 plant per container..5 gal is plenty big enough..
put lave rocks 3 inches deep in bottom of pail (duh) drill 3 or 4 holes an
inch above rocks so excess water can drain out..real rocks are to heavy..
forget using water crystals they are too expensive..fill with rich soil and
your good to go..if you can piss away money on water crystals you can
certainly afford to buy worm casings instead and mix that with your soil..
:bashhead:

thanks for looking in, and for the advice.

any thoughts on this, isnt the best system, but there are rocks everywhere and i dont want to blow the cover of the bins so digging is almost impossible.
your pails look blue and i see you said you cant use chicken wire
in this area but if you learn to use flat black exterior latex house paint you will
not be able to see wire and blue containers will be much harder to see after you paint them black..i said latex cause oil paints are shiney not flat..or
spray plants with a good deer repellent..i have made my own adding dish washing liquid to water and lots of red and black pepper now thats organic.. :rasta:
