Our Mandala and NL 47 Grow!

Off to a bad start posting...I was kinda stoned and was ready to post when my mindshifted (tends to happen under the influence haha) and i decided to check out some flower pics first. When i was done observing and ready to post i forgot i wasnt in the right spot to post a grow diary anymore and posted it in the flower pic section. What a noob move Anyways all, this is what i posted:

Hey all, i've been lingering for some time but never posted anything. However, donald dump and me are growing some hashberry, speed queen and nl 47 out doors and thought it would be interesting to share. i had looked for a grow like this but never found one, and know there are others that looked for the same. Anyways, since im new to the posting, u will have to bear with me, any errors i make let me know and possibly how to fix them, thanks.

Enough of that, lets get to the good stuff. Together we have 20 speed queen seeds, 10 hashberry seeds and 10 nl 47 seeds. The beans look great and so far 2 sq and 2 nl 47 have started, the rest will be started soon. This is basically a guerrilla grow so keeping them hidden is also very important. Nutes have not be bought yet so i can fill u in on that, and will leave the soil description for then also.

Well here are some pics of the seedlings (sorry if there is any blurryness).

Here are the sq at day 2 after sprouting.

SQ 1

SQ 2. That brown spot was attached when it sprouted (probably part of the seed) but is gone now.

Here are the plants about a week and a half later. The sq are almost 2 weeks and the NL 47 are almost a week.

All 4

SQ 1

SQ 2

Both SQs have been topped recently. The tips of the lower leaves are browning on the tips, and a little of the tips on the second set of leaves. We are thinking it is a nute burn from stuff left in the reused soil, and are pretty sure it isnt a light burn bc it is happening only on the lower leaves. (the leaves are much darker than they apper in the pics). If any one knows what this is caused by, any help would be appreciated. The pics will also be posted in the infermery by donald dump (i think) but not sure if they have been yet.

Here is some more pics to help show the problem.

These young speed queens are quite amazing...even thought they are only two weeks old, they alread smell quite noticably! There is also very little space between branch nodes...they deffinately show some promise. :woohoo:

Here are a the two individual nl 47.

These two are also looking great.

Its great to finally be posting, I dont want to feel left out any more haha. I hope the plants turn out good, and we get a decent percent of females so we can show some good bud shots. We will get some more pics up soon when things get a little more exciting. Enjoy all :joint:

Here's a little update. These pics are about a week old...ya i procrastinate a bit. Well the speed queens that werent doin to well, are fixing there own problem, wit a little help. The leaves that were browning, completely dried out and fell off, or were taken off and new leaves are growing out at each node where the sick leaves were. The bigger sq's were lst'ed, there are some before and after pics. Once again, sorry for any blurriness, i shake like a fiend when i take pics, plus when i shrink them down they get a little blurry.

Here is one of the sq with mangled leaves. We lst'ed and removed the center mangled fan leaves, u can see the new fresh leaves comeing in.

Here is the other sick sq, lst'ed with the center leave removed, u can see the new leaves nicely in this pic.

The two older NL 47s at 3 weeks old....i think.

Here they are again in the front with the sqs behind them and the 3 young NL 47 in the back.

Closer shot of the wee NL 47s. You can see they are all growing at different rates. One is growing fast, one normal, and one slower (they were all planted at the same time).

Here they all are back in their homes.

Now...I mentioned we are growing them outside, here is the basic idea of the set up this is one location in the woods, lots of light coming in...

soil...

3 lovely rubbermaid bins. There will be 3 plants per bin, this is one of the largest amount of plants that will be in one spot.

And a very nice red trillium near the location.

A few more pics. These are some babies started the same day as the last pics taken. However these little fellas suffered a trajety...due to my hastly set up, the light apparatus collapsed, killing one of the bigger sq's as well as the twin sq's, one NL 47 did not sprout. So they were without light for about 7 hours, they they were put out side for the day bc i had to work and couldnt fix thier home yet. Well here they are back in the newly rebuilt (less hastly i assure u) home.

You can see the one hashberry on the bottom left that went on a tare upwards when the lights were off. The one to the right of it is also hb as well as the one in the far back right. The other 2 in the back are sq and the one in the bottom right is a NL 47.

Heres the dead/dying sq, i had hope for it but you can see at this point that there was no hope for it.

Here they are 3 days later, strong healthy and growing like mad, lsd'ed the tall hb to keep it shorter and make it stronger, as well as the other big hb because it was growing like a "weed."

Heres the tall one all done up.

And the other one, lookin good (on the bottom right).

Here's the 6 remaing plants (the other bigger plant on the middle right is a sq).

Well that's all for now, gunna take some more pics today to get things all up to speed. Also there are 2 NL 47 to be planted, and one sq. This will bring the total count up to 9, with 3 of each kind. Well have a good day all...so long for now.

Thanks exploziv, i'm sure they will, hashberriers and NL 47 are looking awsome also, hopefully they all keep on growing!

Well here's another update. The plants are doing great and are looking healthy, except...one of the oldest speed queens that was lst'ed, well the tape holding the string which was pulling the top town, slipped because the heat of the lights and so the top straightened back out and got burnt to shit on the light. There is some good news though, it was snipped up and has grown some new leaves, and is lookin like it will make it. Once it gets outside it will be a bushy girl. Heres a pic of it, you can see where it was chopped...

The rest is all good news, thank god. The other old speed queen is doing awsome, it made a full recovery. It was transplanted into a bigger pot bc it was getting root bound. The bottom branch is racing upwards and the center leaves are filling in. Take a look for yourselves.

In another week it will be back at full health and out in the sunshine.

The oldere NL 47s have also been transplanted to bigger pots to give the roots a little more room to grow. They are nookin nice...

One got lst'ed.

More good news, the other 3 middle aged NL's are all about the same size and growing at the same rate, all 3 are healthy.

Well thats all the pics for now. The little guys are growing real fast, i checked on them yesterday and they had gone from sprouting their second set of leaves to having their 3rd set and some even had started growing their 4th. I'll throw up some pics of them in a few days.

Hopefully Mr. Don Dump makes an appearence soon lol. I know hes been checking up but hasnt said anything. Once he gets his camera going in a few days he will be doing some updates as well. Well hope everyone elses grow in going splendedly, hope to see some good ones this year, already some killer ones. Cheers.

Hmm.....I wouldn't use nutes so soon but then again, what the hell do I know!!!
Its coming along, and I will be keeping a close watch on your grow. Wish me luck on my satori's and kali's.

Hiya TriCristalz, there has not been any kind of ferts used as of yet, nor will they be used for about a month or so after they are put outside. Satori and Kali's look like good strains as well, u should have some nice herb on your hands, best of luck to u, and to eveyone else.

Well if the weather stays as nice as the weather man says it will be, looks like the plants are going out in 2 or 3 days, they should do well once they get into the totes. I'm thinking about 2 plants per bin instead of 3, since they are 18 gallon bins, and 9 galans per plant should be decent enough, but 6 is a little small for my liking, although once the males are chopped, there would be only one or no plants in a bin. O well, decisions, decisions...

Hey Now, you got a start, but quit fucking with them, too much water and too much fertz, causes those yellow leaves. I use those energy saving bulbs but they do put off heat. I perfer straight floro's for seedlngs. Take time my friend you shoul see some interesting results.

Hey Berry Coughin', u bet the NL 47's are from luna, and i'm very appreciative to have gotten them. They should be scrumptious :sasmokin:

Yo Rastatrue, i'm not sure why people think that i've used nutes already, bc i havent and im pretty sure i never mentioned that and i even made that clear in my last post. I'm not trying to get worked up here but please read the posts before u make accusations, its not even a full page long. If i did for some reason lead people on that i've used ferts yet i appologize and if i did could someone let me know, i cant see anything.

Anyways, most of the plants are outside soakin up some rays and some new ones are sproutin. I'll get some pics soon. Cheers!

Good day all, got the morning off work so figured i should finally get to posting an update. These pics are a little over 2 weeks old...i've been lazy.

Here are 3 hashberrys chillin in there tote.

They were all topped also.

Damn bugs...

A little NL 47 with its big (streched) sister.

Trying to tie it down I kinked it...

...but no biggie, just used a splint and got it all fixed up.

A healthy speed queen, and its nute deficient partner.

Since this day i've been ferting (for the fisrt time for anyone with misconceptions lol) every other watering, and started out at 1/6th the recommended dose, up to about 1/2 the amount because there are some that are smaller. All the plants are about tripple in size now and looking great, no problems but bugs but they will be ok. Plants are bushy, especially the 3 hashberries. The older NL 47s that i dont have pics of streched a lot, but have preflowers and are all females (the 4 outside). The tops are gunna be cut off them and cloned, which will leave the bushy bottoms.

I hope to get some pics this week at some point, since things are finally getting interesting. Hopefully a pic of the preflowers, and most of the plants, including the ones i didnt have here.

Heres a tasty little morsel i had on a fishing excursion to finish off, cheers.

Whats up all, have been really busy and havent posted in forever. But its finnaly interesting so im gunna try to post AT LEAST once a week. This is a small update from about 3 weeks ago, i will post the recent stuff tomorrow (batteris died in the camera and there are still more pics to take). Its also time to cull some males so i got to put that in too. But for now this is what the one crop looked like about 3 weeks ago, they were pretty big then (for the time - mid june).

This is the bin of 3 hashberriers, they are wickedly bushy and suck water like nothing i've ever seen, about 3 gallons per 2 to 3 days.

Here is an older speed queen with its younger sister (i hope). I tied it right down so it would get real bushy and give the young one light.

Some lovely NL47 (the one on the right is unfortuanetly male i believe, but didnt know at the time)

Two more NL47 (the ones planted in the bin) being visited by two speed queens in there cups still.

The bigger NL47 in the bin (right) is now flowering which kinda sucks bc it is only about 4.5 feet tall now and just starting to bush, but i guess it will be some early smoke, so i guess i will deal. Not sure why it started flowering already (any ideas), when none of the other plants have. The smaller NL47 (which isnt small anymore) is also female.

A wee hashberry, just planted...

I have some better shots of pre-flowers now but here is one male and female i took when i took the other pics. I'm not sure how well u will be able to see them but i kept them a bit bigger so u could (hopefully) see, but they are hard to see if u dont know what u are looking at, so squint reall hard haha. If they aren't clear enough, i will fix some for the next update.

Male...

...pretty much full flowers almost, but u can see a small ball just starting right beside the flower on the left.

Female...

...some hairs showing on the node between my fingers.

Should also be a few hairs in this one, look hard.

All the plants have nice big fan leaves, soakin up the sun. This is just a smaller SQ leave it only has 7 points on it and it is already as big as my hand...

Some of the other leaves are baout as big as dinner plates, which is allowing them to grow fast.

These pics are only about a week old but they fit well in here and the next update will be bigger with all the plants in it, hopefully, half havent even been put on since they were smaller. They are at another crop near don dump's house and he hasnt had the stuff for his camera to but the pics on his comp (and hes as lazy as me). 3 of his NL47 streched and the tops were cut off and used as clones, they had already shown sex (female obviously). The first set of clones are the NL47 and the second set are clones aqquired from an aqquaintance of don dump's. The strain is not known but it is good stuff.

Well thats about all for tonight, hopefully now that the plants are bigger (u will see in the next update), more people will follow along, it will get good now...promise hahah. Remember, nothing is free...always respect mother nature or it can be a bitch...

The camera doesnt do justice but its a really bad case of poison ivy, and it was everywhere. Cheers and good luck all.

Hmmmm, appears the preflower pics are small anyways, damn. They should be bigger but arent so the female hairs are relly hard to see, and the male flowers are small and the smaller balls are almost invisible. O well, i will do my best to fix this...if anyone could tell me how to make them bigger, it would be awsome.

Looking great dancing man! Following this thread closely as ive got both hashberry and NL47 waiting in the wings...lol....hows the smell on the NL47s?

heya gws35, hashberriers and NL 47's both look good. The NL 47's reak, if i touch them, i smell like them for hours, even when i was the smell sometimes persists through.

Hey, how is eveyone. Found something very...interesting by my grow, but i wont post it until later incase someone recognises it. Plus there has been a lot of traffic in the old field so i got a little nervous but fuck em.

Heres how things looked when i went back a few days ago, while smoking this lovely blunt with a friend of mine (thats his real mustache too).

My youngest plant, a speed queen, but shes got lots of soil to grow!

The other youngest speed queen...she got eaten.

Here's one NL 47 that started flowering early (the one tied over on the right), she is 1.5 weeks into flowering in this pic, shes 3 weeks into flowering now.

The other NL 47 in the bin (on the left) is also a girl and is now flowering, and the best part...she has pink hairs!! I wish it would have been a bit bigger b4 it started flowering but o well. All my NL47 are now flowering, they seem to be a quick flowering strain.

Two young hashberries taking off (not sexed yet)

2 speed queens in there tote, there is sugnificant size difference between the 2.

Who's balls are those? haha, and theres the little one hiding in the last pic. Unfortunately that huge sq was male and is now chopped, but the little one has lots of room now and will take off.

2 more SQ, i think both are female but the hairs are so tiny im not making any promises. but i sure hope they are both ladies, the one on the left has a nice dark purple stalk and should be a nice plant. they are a little nute deficient, even though i blast them everyfeeding, i let the rain water them for a week and they are hungry.

Finally, the last update is probably the most interesting. The other 2 NL 47, a little saggy bc they were a little dry when i took the pic.

The one on the left is female and looking real good. The one on the right is, well...hermi!?! But that isnt the interesting part. When I said "is" I meant "was". I must seen full of shit but look for yourself.

You can see several big male flowers starting in the middle of the pic, and some female hairs near the top. However, i let it go for another week b4 culling it and this week, there was only those male flowers u can see in the pic, but she was in full flower and covered in hairs, but no more balls. So for now, shes staying, i ripped off the male flowers and will continue to check it over. Even if i do end up with a few seeds, im ok with that as long as there is no mass pollination. But there shouldnt be, if several more male flowers appear, i will just chop he/she down.

Well thats all for now, i will post some flower pics soon, and some pink hairs!

nice thread. every post is a huge improvement. things are heating up .

by the way i also kinked one of my plants because i am a noob. i used duck tape brand duct tape for a splint and tied garden string in 2 opposite directions to give it support. the plant is also tied at the top. i know this is hard to picture in the mind exactly which is why i am taking pictures today. all leaves above the bend were beginning to wilt. i hope it is ok  if you have any advice from your experience - i am all ears.

just make sure the kink is undone, that is straighten the plant so water can be taken to the leaves above the kink, and use a splint to hold it straight. i just used a straightish stick and used ducktape to hold it up. also gave it a week b4 i tied it down to let it heal up a bit. now it is a huge know and doing great. actually that was the plant that went hermi, and that stress prolly caused the male flowers just bc it was so early in its life. but anyways, get her straightened up and keep the soil wet for a few days and it should heal up just fine, people purposely crush the stem of there plant (supercropping) to make it stronger so a simple kink is no problem ;)

i have a question for anyone following this thread. as u have noticed i grow in 18 gallon totes, but the problem is the girls are thirsty and suck em dry in a day or two and i just can't keep up. is there anyways besides mulch to keep the soil moist? it will be very hard to get mulch back now. And water polymers go at the bottom of the soil dont they? i have no experience with them. Any help would be much appreciated.

very nice grow so far bro. Love the bin idea, but I understand it dries out quick. I would honestly have to say, maaaybe cut the bottom of your bins open and let the roots grow into the ground and maybe they will grow large enough root system into the ground and wont need water as often because itll be from the ground? I dont know man haha, thats my guess. They are going to get a looot bigger and would probably like to have some more root space anyway. I had a hermie and I pulled off the male parts and it turned out to be DANK with like 3 seeds if I can remember right. Is there anyway you can make a drip kind of system for your girls? Maybe puncture some holes in a gallon small enough to drip really slow and give the plant enough water for a couple more days so you dont have to visit them so often. Let the holy gallon sit on top of the soil maybe to drip? Hope this helps, good luck bro! PEACE
