That’s a question for MAHA KALA as I haven’t topped any of them yet. That plant you pictured stretched more than it would have if I hadn’t up potted from solo cup to 3 gallon and had the hps so far at first. These are frosty as hell and I can’t wait to run them again all dialed in ✌️That is a seed plant pictured.

Very pretty plant.
question for you and Maha. How do these respond to topping? Or is it best to run them as shown here?

if you would grow it from cut and give it good veg time, then it is not needed. but this way Sub grows it, it would benefit from topping for sure.

I agree probably should top seed plant. I always try to fit more into the room then I should and I don’t monocrop much. Always interested in crosses and what happens. I’m going to run a monocrop of the best tropical boogie pheno soon.

hey cbf ,
there are some remnants of it around ,
a local friend has something that stemmed from it ,
but it has lost some of the traits i enjoyed ..

i seem to recall you rated the original stuff quite well ??
Yes sir, had great plants with nice big colas, very potent.
too Bad it’s not around anymore, plant we kept for sometime was a real banger.

Tropical boogie #1 I tried pushing this room to hard early on with (nutes light c02) and stalled this plant. It’s been grooving for awhile now but in my experience they always do better if you don’t stall them at all and get that momentum going. this plant expressed completely different structurally from cut with everything dialed in. This is not dialed in lol.
It has too much nitrogen and will continue on for a bit I think.

it is not dialed in, but it has good veg time and it has right size of cola. this is mother of TB:

The above are Laos x Mango Haze. For some reason trying to add text was a nightmare! The pink tinge is due to some red/far red lights in my system.
They are curing now but initial samples are promising. So far it seems meditative, a bit euphoric, and the old "colours are brighter" effect. A nice lift with a hint of trippyness but we'll see what a proper cure brings.

nice work chi ,
sounds like a good one to toke early in the morning , hehehe .

did u grow many ??
i found some to be very potent with a bit of a search ,
but they were all pretty nice ..

imho a cure will definitely make a difference,
i think we all agree those types are better after some time to cure ... .

I only grew two, but am planning on going through the rest. One of these was very sativa, the other fatter, but both clearly sativa. I just have a tent and like variety so I had others taking up space. I grew a pure Laos as well (pic in the ultimate sativa thread), which has a way to go, but it will be interesting to compare.

So far, a very nice vape/smoke but yes, no doubt a cure will bring out the best. I sense some old school intensity might be lurking in these. Curing can totally change everything, so I will let you know in time.
Thanks again. :gday:

there are potent ones for sure. but its character is not scary cold sweat and hot flushes effect, so be prepared that some will call it just nice weed.

I love it! it has special quality of smoke.

respect to your work.
