from the sounds of it, your plant didn't even need that last flowering tea before you left. and might have just been a bit too much. then adding molasses which most likely caused the microbes in the soil to feed and cycle nutrients like crazy resulting in more nutrients being available and well you get the point. so my advice, just let nature and the plant do its job. they are really good at it trust me.

your chocolate thai looks great! where is the cut from? seed? how long does she go. i remember the chocolate thai i used to get from thailand, DANK ASS POT that shit was.

I don't think I articulated myself very well - The large dose of tea was the precursor to the subtle burn that I noticed the day before I left, not my response to the burn..

Ah, good point, I hadn't even considered that feeding the microherd always leads to them releasing *more* nutes; In fact, I'd only added the BSM to keep the 'herd alive while things were being flushed - Now that you mention it, adding BSM to flush water is sort of counter productive ;)

This is the 'DrawOH' DNA Genetics Chocolate Thai, from the same seed stock that was used as the source for the mother of Chocolope:

hey there i got these seeds from key's of choc thai back in the early 90's we selected for the best traits and quick finishers. we made only a few seeds of this and Drawoh is the man thats keeping it alive by inbreeding it more.

And yes, it IS delicious! :smoke:

So i made my first veg tea (recipe three) a couple days ago and after about 20 hours it was foaming something fierce!! I used it at 30 hours brew time on 5 of my plants to test. Two soil mixes were used.. Its been almost 24 hours and no sign of burn or nutriant lock out. I could expect a sign of nute burn by now if I was using my old FFOF/FFLW and botanicare nutes. Does organics take longer or am I in the clear after 24 hours or so?

Can I assume that between 24 hours and 48 hours brew time, it only gets stronger/"hotter"?

Also, what do you guys think about brewing the tea in your bedroom? This stuff doesn't get airborne does it?

Sounds good thank you, one more quick question how often does LC's mix #1 need to be watered if made with the peat and ewc. Just looking for a rough guideline I know every circumstance is slightly different.

i use some coir(i think, its the expading stuff), perlite, kelp, blood, bone meal, dolomite lime, earthworm castings
my question is what is the greensand for? i read the box but didnt buy any cause it said its from the ocean or something, and loosens clay or hard soils and i dont live near the ocean and the mix is already real soft

B1, I am just about fully converted to LC from FFOF, and so far, am very happy with the results. As are my girls....

What are your recommendations for 'recycling' LC mix?

After flowering I was thinking about resting my soil in a plastic tub, but adding in the blood/bone/Greensand/Kelp meal along with the lime and some LK and then mixing it/cooking it for about 30 days.

Would I need to do all of this to recycle the soil or do you have any better recommendations?

is it ok to use lc mix #1 and recipe #1 on seedlings? i got some seedlings that streched under a 250hps, there about 1 week old and i need to put soil on top so there not flopping over.

No. Seedlings need to be two weeks old or older before they need to be fed. The first two round leaves carry the food the plant needs as a seedling. When these two leaves turn yellow and die, it's time to feed.

The genetics of the plant causes it to stretch. The plant goes from vegetative growth to flowering growth. The plant is trying to get above other plants around it. Nothing you can do to stop stretching the first two weeks of flowering. Use plenty of nitrogen during this time.

Follow the recipe.
