Thank you to everyone who tried and even better to those who succeeded in using the info in this thread to become self reliant and grow your own without taxation and inflated prices of this harmless plant. Grow on my friends. My time here is complete. I only hope I made just one person have their own grow. If so it was well worth my time here. I wish I could meet every one of you, shake your hand and say well done.
Farewell and God bless.

I am sure fabric pots would help but I just don't have the $ to drop on that right now.
We have been stuck in some pretty cold air lately and I think that was playing a role in my mix staying wet longer than usual. The nighttime temps were dropping into the mid 60's and I guess my sativa girls didn't like that so I have upped that and dropped the amount of water used with each watering and that seems to have made the girls happy again.
I may start using a 1-3" rock base in my larger 5 gallon pots or cut back the amount of soil used.
So, just in case anyone was wondering, I figured out this issue.
I guess I didn't properly cook my soil. That is the only thing that I can think of that I would have messed up. I had been using LC1 mix wth bone/blood/kelp and my girls were showing all sorts of weird issues and weren't drinking so the soil stayed wet forever.
When I cooked it, I noticed the soil only stayed warm for a day or two despite my efforts to keep it going. About 1.5 months ago I decided to give a batch of girls a big does of Pure Blend Pro and they shot right back to life.
I guess I need to review my cooking steps.

Dude, you can lead them to the watering hole, but ya can't force em to drink! The fact that you laid things out for those even STUBBORN can digest speaks volumes! I've been at this since 2006 in an organic state of mind, when I told folks back then I prefer using manures and basic soils, NOT DEAD DIRT or hydroponics ......I got troll rolled by ppm know it alls. I've never had to worry about most issues folks face because I went out of my way to keep things K.I.S.S simple when approaching everything in my gardens. I grow my own tobacco, nettles, etc etc I have access to the seeds at my local coo-op and haven't looked back since! I'm blessed to have a guy in the center of my state that produces a quality soil that need on,y be recharged after a season! I could do teas and the like but if my plants don't show that they are lacking anything I tend to leave em alone and let em go. The one thing that I'm starting to SERIOUSLY take into my newer beds here are KNF ......I have all the videos saved on YouTube from Chris trump. Being poor helps keep things in perspective as well. My biggest issue was online (etiquette ) and being able to sniff out folks who claim this and that but aren't really into this like I am for example......folks can get cocky attitudes or greedy and it's nails on a chalkboard to me so I avoid them 99.999% of the time. Two folks I really enjoy learning from refuse to use the Internet ......luckily for me there are three - four folks here I can rely on for great knowledge. I've learned to block out the distracting souls. I seriously enjoy seeing folks share knowledge and helping others. Nothing like treating others like you Yourself wants to be treated..............as I drink this kombucha........I wonder if my plants could handle some sans bubbly. The things that go through my mind I tell ya!Thank you to everyone who tried and even better to those who succeeded in using the info in this thread to become self reliant and grow your own without taxation and inflated prices of this harmless plant. Been searching like a madman, the only powdered lime i have found is called Hi-Yield Hydrated Lime. is this the right stuff? {i think it is, but it seems to contain more than just lime, and nowhere on it does it say dolomite.}
https://www.hi-yield.com/products/InfoSheets/33371.pdf
Im barely 20% through the thread, so I’m sure (I hope) that someone’s already covered this, but just in case:
Get on your phone or device, pull up maps, and search for “nursery” or “garden supply” or “landscapers”. If you still get a phone book, look them up in the yellow pages/commercial directory. Call the one closest to you and ask them if they have powdered dolomite (and whatever you can’t find @home depot).
ANY nursery or garden supply store or landscaper - or an old Ace hardware - should have plenty in stock; if your nearest is out, thank them and call the next closest.
DON’T JUST SEARCH ONLINE!!! And don’t go to a fancy “grow store” if you have them - think like a farmer....
Another good place is your local feed store. Look for a product called Barnlime.
fwiw, i can only find powdered dolomite online. about to order some more. although, I may do the 3way lime mix instead this time
1 part powdered dolomite
1 part agricultural gypsum
2 parts powdered oyster shell
1 to 2 tablespoons lime mix per gallon of peat moss...NOT soil mix. Or 1 cup per cubic foot of peat moss.
