I think you can find more at Reef's website, lots of grow reports there. The lowryder has some kind of a hemp like flower cycle, it will go into flower when it is ready to flower, even at veg lighting schedules. To my knowledge, it's fast seed/to/bud time is it's only redeeming feature. Yours look very healthy.

I've found that the 18/6 cycle the entire way through has produced higher yeilds then the 24/0. Yes, autoflowering plants can and will flower through 24/0 and other vegging light cycles. If you grow an autoflowering plant under 12/12 it kind of works against the whole idea of autoflowering. The only reason I'd ever do this is if I had other strains that had to go under 12/12 for flowering. Stick with 18/6 the entire way through and you'll be fine. What day did they show sex on?

Also there's very little if any info at all on Reefs site about this particular strain. It was something that Reef "played" with and then thought otherwise on. There might be alot more info about Oregon Purple Thai but not crossed with LR.

Wow thats along time for them to show sex if they're autoflowering. Which in case I don't believe yours are so keep them in 12/12. If they autoflower, they always show sex by the very latest day 25 from germ. Keep em growin they're lookin fine.

It looks like in the fourth picture at the beginning of the thread, the new growth has a mild case of iron deficiency. The base of the leaf appears yellow with the tips greener where iron is accumulating. Your ph may be a little high. Like I said in a pm, adjust your ph for soilless growing to 5.6 to 6.2 with 5.8 being best in your nutrient solution and soil.

You can easily lower the ph of your nutrient solution to 5.8 using sulfuric acid or battery acid from the auto parts store. Be very careful handling. You can raise the ph to 5.8 using lye or sodium hydroxide from the grocery store. You will find that you need very little of either to change the ph. You might have to make a stock of maybe a teaspoon of either in 1 gallon of water(3.8L). Then add an ounce or two of this stock to your nutrient solution. You will have to experiment/titrate how much to use. It may take many tries of too much or too little before you find your recipe with the water and nutrients you are using. Repeated applications of 5.8 solution to the soil will alter the soils ph. It will rise or lower toward this ph. Eventually, the soils ph will also be 5.8

If you are curious about your soils ph, an easy method to use is the pour through. After you have fertilzed/watered and pots have stopped draining, apply maybe 100 mililiters of distilled water to the top of the pot. Catch this runoff from the drain holes and measure the ph.

yeah, yeah I know......get a meter, get a meter.

I'm getting there, I am a novice remember?

Thanks sproutco for looking so closely at the pics and the advice, I appreciate it.

Verite is right about needing a ph meter. I suggest getting the Japanese made ph pro from spectrum technologies. It costs $169. It is water proof so you can use it to test soil or water. It will automatically compensate for temperature. They include a case and buffer solution to calibrate the meter. The probes tip may last 3 to 5 years before needing replacement at $50.

i guess alot of people depend on ph as a guide. ive never ever used a ph meter in my life and ive alway's gotten steady growth. notice these are the same plant's just later date's.

Unless you have off soil ph in the wild outdoors tends to manage itself.

p.s. theres also no basis for diagnosis of problems without knowing what your ph is at. Without knowing it everyone else is simply guessing.
