Hola
Couldn't sleep and was reading through this thread, it's beautiful! i've seen and read it at least 10 times now, and it continues to amaze me, thank you all for keeping things real
so much good energy in this thread, so much love, we really need this kind of mindset in these times! really sad to see kaiki leave - thank you for everything you have done for us! you'll continue to be an inspiration for growers worldwide...
great post!
I have not had the chance to try the pure OT Haze yet, but different Purple Haze x Panama phenos, all of which were fantastic hazy expressions!
It is a bit harsh to smoke at times, and smell doesn't really translate to the taste that well, but the room sure smells hazy after burning it.
it still maintains a certain wildness -unworkedness, which contributes to its amazing complexity. the haze aroma is so incredibly complex, yet uniquely elegant and easily spotted once you know it.
where it really shines is when it's vaporized! perfect translation of the smell to the taste, and the effect is pure sunshine, you just have to let go and grin
like tasting sun shining through the fractal cloud edge
though i find a cure of at least 2-3 months essential for the sunshine effect, shortly after harvest it tends to be too physically stimulating and racy for my liking and can be a rough ride with quite a bite of paranoia (but even more psychedelia)
hazes teach us patience a lot!
thank you all for the good vibes and heres some more to add

You honour me charlie! Thanks so much troesma!!!
You're absolutely right about that special qualities in the high wich can't be easily replicated nowadays. I don't know if its only due to genetic diversity lost, or it's because an hybrid as such captures the essence of the time and the vibes of the people who bred it.
The OldTimer's Haze opened my mind in many different ways, from grower perspective, from smoker perspective and from cannabis lover in all. It never ceased to surprise me, from the time i read about it, to the time when i was smoking the last buds of my purple haze almost two years after germinating the seed! At that point i had some trips on it that were a complete blow-out for me. Truely psychedelic experiences that you get from entheogens like mushrooms or LSD.
But for people who didn't fell in love with her like i did, maybe it wasn't 'too potent' or 'too tasty', because they have different parameters for potency or taste. For me is, withouth doubt, among the best (and i've grown and smoked lots, believe me).
Thanks so much to you charlie, and the ACE collective, we could have this completely different cannabis experience. And love to OldTimer who preserved this time-capsule over the years.
here its the purple Old Timer's Haze with 6 months cured
