Dr Leary,

Yeah I saw the out of stock. Wasn't there last night. Glad I didn't go for it, who knows...may have missed out and ended up w/ something I didn't want as a replacement. I'm still on the prowl but if I end up needing to wait till the next release, so be it. I had aspirations of a stealth outdoor monster scrog. Your greenhouse grow sounds wicked. A full 10 month cycle for those babies. I hope you document.

gkn, thanks for the info. Definitely want to give these a try. Just need to get my hands on em'

I've rolled the dice to secure these genetics. Wish me luck...I'm looking for the next release as well. Got a little plan hatched for introducing these genes into a working genetic program that I will be elaborating on once said genetics are in my possession. My Sig. Other is on board. She wants the giggly shit, toot sweet.

well i shouldve heeded your warning re indoor crops of OT1Haze.hit the cieling, took 4ever,hates nutes.plants got nute lock and we were forced 2 chop.not reccommended 4 indoor,oh well

Well, at least you tried it out. Lots of people are
terrified of pure sativas. I'm sure if you did it again,
you would know a lot more and be better prepared.

Big Bag, can you tell me a bit more about your indoor attempt with the OT Hazes? What size pots did you keep em in? Grow size, lighting, etc?

I'm going to give these a go indoors if for nothing else than to make some seeds with other genetics I've got going. My plan is to follow Motaco's advice and really root restrict until all bud sites are set (say no more than a 1/2 gal container. Once bud sites are well established, I'll move them to a slightly larger container and add soil as needed. Will scrog and LST as well.

I won't get started on these for a few months, but will post here once they get going.

Thanks,

Dubi,

I have received a vial of the OTH dated April 08. From reading the thread, can I assume these are the second generation prodigy of the green/purple Haze #1 x Green Male Haze #6?

If so, what is the likelihood of finding purple leaning plants from this cross?

Also, any updates on the next generation of OTH? Are you still planning a later 2010 release working with green/purple incense phenotypes?

Many thanks.

I'm actually growing Oldtimer Hazes dated 28/03/08 that I got from Gyspy.
I emailed Ace, because I was also interested in finding out what line I had.
Especially, since all the plants have been either documented or photographed
and place on IC Mag. It's refreshing for a change to see exactly what plants
contributed to youe seeds.

Awesome Job Ace.

I was told that it's the female #1 and male#6 line that was sold
by Gypsy at that time. So yours is probably the same unless Dubi
can tell you otherwise.

My guess is that since the female will contribute 1 green and 1 purple gene.
With the male will contributing 2 green genes. So I'm taking a guess that
you may have to breed to the F3 or beyond to arrive at a mostly purple
individual. Of course that depends on luck and proper selection to be
on your side as well. Without proper selection I figure that it's going
to be mostly a green line.

Good Luck to yeah, Ur Humbl Nr8tor

High haze lover friends!
I've grown three 1x6 OT Hazes and i got one purple pheno, one green, and one intermediate green/purple, so i think its not that hard to find a purple haze plant in that progenie. The #1 mother is a purple haze plant and some daughters are very alike her. Its definetely the best of the three i had, the purple one that looks a lot like her mother. One very important tip to keep in mind, is that this hazes require a LOT of curing to get all the best of them out. After seven months of curing, the high of the purple haze became extremely psychedelic. I had some entheogen experiences on it lately.

Thanks ACE for showing us the parental stock!

Thanks Corky and gkn. Glad to hear the the purples are available in these seeds. I will definitely make F2's, F3's, etc. to keep this strain alive. I plan to pick up more packs when new stock is released, but am excited to have the 11 beans I've already got. I would like to find a nice purple OTH to cross with a delicious DJ Blueberry male. Unfortunately, I sent to Seed Boo for the DJ beans and they were mailed quite some time ago with a no show at my address. I'm afraid some evil postman is licking his lips to enjoy my beans. First time an order did not make it to me. Oh well, so is life-I will just have to buy another pack and keep fingers crossed. I hope to work with these OTH lines for many years to come Goddess willing. Thanks to Dubi and all of the Ace collective (along with Old Timer himself) for their diligence in keeping these genetics alive and well. Also, much thankls to all contributors on this thread who have already taught me so much about these lovely sativas. Salut.

Great plan Ur Humbl Nr8tor, i love the blueberry x haze cross, in fact, a blue haze was one of the most trippy weeds i've grown.
good luck and long live to othaze!

gkn,

I'm glad to hear the blueberry x haze cross was so satisfying. I'll definitely document my steps along the way. As for curing, I will do my best to let patience persevere and plan on filling my jars with other goodies to tide me over. I am a simple grower for home use only, but feel I am finally experienced enough to start working with these long legged sativas. I'm sure I will stumble through the first grow or two with the OTH, but that is part of the exciting journey, no?

Hope its exciting indeed, some are really easy, just forget about them and they do alone under minimal care :)
best luck

Welcome and thanks for share your oldtimer's haze experience breizou,

Maybe you got a green dominant pack like mother 1 x male 6. But im glad you were satisfied with the results, she is not easy to grow but grown under good conditions they finish without much attentions, patience is the best virtue!
