Hang on there Cabby, you are a survivor and will ultimately do well. :D

I do a 20 mil Zolcor every day, the occaisonal aspirin for transient pain and exercise 2 -3 hours daily 7 days a week. I watch my diet very carefully, have for over 30 years. I take my BP several times every day keeping an eye on it, as I am 55 and it has been edging up for the last few years, but so far the exercise has been doing the job. That and 2 daily meditation sessions.

I vape through a gram or 2 every day, 2 glasses of cabernet in the early evening, 2 shots of vodka before lunch saturday and sunday. While I have some pain from various injuries, mostly that doesn't bother me enough to do anything about.

Exercise and proper diet are the keys to a healthy lifestyle. I have many freinds in their 70's and 80's who agree on this. The first fellow that I ever went for 10 mile walks with was 93 when I started going on those with him. Wore out a set of tennis shoes every month he did, quite insiprational.

peace

Well, in the words of Keith Richards -- "I've never had a problem with drugs. I've had problems with the police." :angrymod: :Bolt:

I feel the munchies comin on. :fsu:

I went to get my scripts filled and my insurance woun't pay for it for two weeks. So, they held my scripts back.Hmmmmmmm :chin: With me taking 11 meds that gets kinds steep. :wallbash: :cuss: :beat-dead :jawdrop: :yoinks: I tried going to www.pparx.org to see if I could get them for free but I don't qualify even though I'm out of work and waiting for my SSD hearing. Seems the companies that make my meds don't participate in the program. :chin: :badday: So, Now I sit here stoned rattling on because I just smoked a fatty of some very sweet MJ. AAhhhhhhh

Oh man, I'm on the chemicals all right. Just refilled my methadone yesterday [270/10 mg] & the Neurontin that costs about $250 for 90/600 mg.
Plus xanax & klonopins & Lexapro 20 mg. Then my heart medicine -- Toprol 100 mg & Ismo [time-released nitro] 120 mg. So this shit gets expensive.

Thisbuds4U...I just got my 'approved' letter from SSD & avoided the hearing, but it's taken 2 yrs from when I initially applied to getting approved. So, depending on when you 1st had the 'phone interview' or in-person, it's around 2 yrs from that when it kicks-in.
Good luck to ya, bro, it's a long process... :joint:

2 year to get the meds you need. that's disgusting.

i'm fortunately in the position of having a great medical plan mostly paid for by work. i was unaware of the actual costs of my meds until one day they charged me like i didn't have insurance. i was shocked. who the fuck can afford hundreds of dollars a month? disgusting.

good luck to you brother.

I was in a motorcycle wreck in 92 and after that I was on a shitload of pills for everything from pain to depression. After a couple years of taking them (and having friends tell me I was turning into a zombie) I started to think about the fact that my pain wasn't going to go away.I was about 38 when I wrecked, when I reached forty I started to realize the docs would keep me medicated for the rest of my life and I started to question the damage the pills could have to my liver, kidneys and other organs over the long haul. I dumped every med that I was on, the only thing I medicate myself with now is herb and the occasional advil. I'm still in pain sometimes but herb helps me make the pain less important.
