I'm confident that cloning her in antiseptic conditions (Bleach / Physan 20 soaks on fresh cuts, sterile rooting area) and vegging her out in the sun will yield a more vigorous cutting. My cut that was vegg'd under the sun seems to be making seed just fine.

Hmmm soaking cuts in bleach/physan 20? Never heard of that your hitting me with some fresh info I never heard before gonna have to try that for sure. Also I have heard that vegging a cut outside can bring back the vigor in it. Very good info bro

10% bleach soak is common nursery practice for rooting cuttings and has turned my success rates from dismal 20% on average to around 80% and getting better all the time.. Without it my cuts have a very good chance of rotting on the cube.

You 100% on the lineage brother? You just made me about 74625x more excited about my pack. I just assumed it had to be (SDxOGKB) x OJB because that's the male he was using at the time and I haven't seen any other x's with a Sour Dub x OJB male. I'm glad I decided to swing through this thread
Yea that shit definitely sucks, I was watching that thread/post/whatever you call it transpire live because I obviously wanted to see what breeders beans caused it, and it certainly was entertaining watching everyone speculate on who's beans caused that. And while I get hermies are frustrating and shitty, theyre not going anywhere.
We as a community want nothing but Glue, Cookies, OG, Chemdawg, and Diesel hybrids, but then complain when we get hermies in our grow. I know I'm beating a dead horse here but what do you expect? Literally everyone of those are documented strains created through hermies. Yes, they're fire. There is a reason everyone wants them and that's where the demand is. But then you can't jump down a breeders throat because you find some bananas or a few seeds. If you don't want to risk it then you gotta crack some different strains. I've gotten hermies from Top Dawg with my Tres Sister pack and 303 from my Bio Diesel pack, want to know what else I got in those same packs? Some of the best weed I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
Now again, I'm not saying you can't be unhappy about a hermie, but to crack a GSC or GG4 cross and lose your shit like that dude did on IG is absurd to me. Because he had an essay of a post to go with that video flipping the fuck out hard. If I don't wanna risk hermies I'll go with a worked line from someone like S@nni3 or Esko or someone who is working there lines. I'll tell you what I'm not cracking, a glue, cookie, or OG cross. Says right on the packs to test in a controlled environment before trying to crop.. OBS gear is more likely to deliver a keeper than most other breeders on the market, IMO, thats still my experience. When you pop a bean that bean is untested until you flower it, no matter who it came from.
Right on bud. True. This new generation of growers wants it all handed to them.. Breeder packs have had hermies since beans have been around. We have hermie genetics to thank for the dankest of the dank in a lot of cases, and we have hermie genetics to thank for even having Cannabis around in the first place!! If Cannabis couldn't self seed its likely it would have gone extinct long ago. I got a hermie male out of my Tres Dawg IX and killed that fucker.. All the hybrids I made with the rest of the males has been the best I've ever grown, ever.
